Pitches

A low-poly row of campsite pitches along a gravel access track. Each grass pitch has a timber-edged gravel tent pad, a stone fire ring with a lit log fire, a picnic table, a marker post and a blue electric hook-up bollard, with shrubs between pitches and a hedge along the back.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Pitches for the Campground kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Campground kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tents, vans and a lake. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: forest green #3a883a, canvas tan #bf9769, flame orange #ed7e1d, lake blue #2e67b8, forest green dark #235223, canvas tan dark #9a7142, forest green light #5db15d, canvas tan light #d2bca2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 12.1 × 6.8 m at the default 2 pitches (each pitch is 6 m wide; the grass is 5.6 m deep and the gravel track along the front is 1.2 m) and 1.27 m tall at the highest hedge shrub. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the bottom centre and the track side faces +Z. The tent pads are 2.8 × 2.24 m at the default, sized for a family tent from the kit. The picnic tables are 1.8 m long with the top at 0.77 m, and the marker posts stand 1.1 m tall. The GLB has 2,760 triangles in 18 meshes. It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names appear more than once; recolour by name. Canvas tan is not used on this part. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = early spring, 0.5 = high summer, 1 = late autumn) changes the grass and shrub tones in three steps (spring: light greens; summer: forest green grass with dark hedges; autumn: dark grass with canvas tan dark and flame orange shrubs) and grows the campfire for colder nights. pitches (1–3) and padSize change the layout. Part ids are per role, so all 9 survive at one pitch. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both extremes (1 pitch, season 0, pad 3.0 m; and 3 pitches, season 1, pad 2.2 m) passed three-check and glb-lint. The viewer uses exposure 0.6 rather than the direction's 1.05 so the greens and tans don't wash out; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 expected warnings: the per-mesh material count (10 distinct palette names), duplicate materials (from the per-mesh export), non-indexed geometry (kept on purpose for hard flat facets) and overlapping siblings (pads in their edging, flames in their fire rings, nested by design). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids.

About the Pitches 3D model

Pitches is a free low-poly 3D model from the Campground set. It measures 12 m × 1.3 m × 6.8 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,760 triangles across 18 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 278 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Pitches 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 278 KB: 2,760 triangles, 8,280 vertices and 18 materials, modelled in metres at 12 m × 1.3 m × 6.8 m.
Can I animate Pitches?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Pitches 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
