Fishing gear

A low-poly lakeside fishing set: a green tackle box open on a tray of lures, a blue rod with cork grips and a spinning reel resting in a forked stick with a bobber on the line, a bait bucket and two caught fish on the grass. Part of the Campground kit.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Fishing gear for the Campground kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Campground kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tents, vans and a lake. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: forest green #3a883a, canvas tan #bf9769, flame orange #ed7e1d, lake blue #2e67b8, forest green dark #235223, canvas tan dark #9a7142, forest green light #5db15d, canvas tan light #d2bca2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 2.10 × 0.93 m overall and 0.68 m tall at the rod tip (defaults). The tackle box is 0.42 × 0.24 × 0.235 m closed, the rod is 2.0 m long, the bait bucket is 0.30 m tall and 0.30 m across, and the fish are 0.29–0.34 m long. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the bottom centre of the whole footprint and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 1,956 triangles in 32 meshes, with all transforms baked into the geometry. It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, with one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. season (the kit's 'Season'; 0 = early spring, 0.5 = high summer, 1 = late autumn) changes the grass tuft colour in three steps (fewer tufts toward autumn) and scatters fallen leaves from late summer on. lidOpen (0 = closed, 1 = open 105°), rodLength (1.6–2.4 m; the rod stays resting in the fork, so a longer rod raises the tip and bobber) and catchCount (1–3 fish) change the layout. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both extremes (season 1, lid closed, 2.4 m rod, 3 fish; and season 0, lid fully open, 1.6 m rod, 1 fish) passed three-check and glb-lint. The viewer uses exposure 0.62 so the greens and tans don't wash out; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 expected warnings: the material count and duplicate names (one material per mesh), non-indexed geometry (on purpose, for hard flat facets) and overlapping siblings (tray, lures and latches nested in the box by design). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.

About the Fishing gear 3D model

Fishing gear is a free low-poly 3D model from the Campground set. It measures 2.1 m × 68 cm × 93 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,956 triangles across 32 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 166 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Fishing gear 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 166 KB: 1,956 triangles, 5,868 vertices and 32 materials, modelled in metres at 2.1 m × 68 cm × 93 cm.
Can I animate Fishing gear?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Fishing gear 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
