Tractor with trailer

A low-poly apple-red farm tractor with big lugged rear tyres, gold rims and an open seat under a roll bar, towing a plank-sided trailer heaped with apples. It comes with a seamless 6 s loop: the wheels roll, the front wheels and steering wheel steer, and the exhaust cap puffs open.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Tractor with trailer for the Autumn Orchard kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Autumn Orchard kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Harvest time on a small farm. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: russet #988e81, apple red #c32222, gold #d0a225, cream #f1e7d0, russet dark #70685c, apple red dark #821717, russet light #b6b3af, apple red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 7.0 m long on the 1 m grid (6.94 m of model between z = 0.035 and z = 6.97, so chained pieces leave a small gap), 1.88 m wide across the tractor's rear fenders (the trailer is 1.63 m wide) and 2.14 m tall to the top of the roll bar. The tractor has 1.2 m rear and 0.8 m front tyres on a 1.9 m wheelbase; the trailer deck is 2.7 x 1.56 m at 1.0 m high. Snapping: the origin is the snapping end, at the tail of the trailer (z = 0, ground level, centred in width), and the rig runs forward along +Z to its front weight just short of z = 7, where the next piece's origin goes. On purpose, this breaks the library's usual bottom-centre origin, because the brief asks for an end origin on modular pieces. The front (tractor grille) faces +Z and every tyre rests on y = 0. The GLB has 3,848 triangles in 49 meshes (merged per part and colour) with flat normals (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 12 are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (6 s, seamless) moves only parts on their own pivots. The rear wheels roll 2 turns and the front and trailer wheels 3, which covers the same ground. The front wheels sit in kingpin nodes that swivel about vertical axes through the wheel centres. The steering wheel turns on its tilted column in step with them, and the exhaust rain cap pops open 6 times on its rear-edge hinge. The tractor body and trailer never move. The tyres are faceted (16 and 12 sides), so while they roll the lowest point dips to about -0.009 m. The exported static node pose is the t = 2 s frame, because three-check exports after its determinism seek. season (the kit's 'Season', 0 = late summer, 1 = late autumn) ripens the apple load from gold and light-red early apples to deep red late ones. load sets the heap height and the number of loose apples (26 to 60). sideHeight sets the trailer's three-plank side height (0.3 to 0.7 m). steerAngle sets the steering amplitude of the loop. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 7 heuristic warnings. Two come from the per-mesh materials (material count and duplicates). One flags non-indexed geometry, which is deliberate flat shading. One flags sibling overlaps where boxes nest by design (stripe on bonnet, liner inside planks, slats in grille). One flags 'detached' parts because each part's meshes sit in their own group, though all of them rest on the tractor or trailer. One flags the 2.36 m height against a generic 1 m reference. One reports a 0.22 m dip below the ground, which comes from the lint's box around the rotated wheel bounds; measured against the actual vertices, the lowest point is -0.009 m. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; with the slug de-hyphenated it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 25 survive the GLB reload. Fix round 1: the viewer's stage disc was centred under the snapping end, so it was slid under the rig (staging only). A dark liner was added so the plank gaps stop showing the red heap, and a dangling prop stand was removed. Fix round 2: the hero, top, front and back framing was loosened, because the front wheel and both ends were cropped.

About the Tractor with trailer 3D model

Tractor with trailer is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Autumn Orchard set. It measures 1.9 m × 2.4 m × 6.9 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,848 triangles across 49 meshes, with 25 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 376 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Tractor with trailer 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 376 KB: 3,848 triangles, 11,544 vertices and 49 materials, modelled in metres at 1.9 m × 2.4 m × 6.9 m.
Is Tractor with trailer animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Tractor with trailer 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
