Cider press
A low-poly traditional apple cider press: a dark timber frame and head beam, an iron screw with a T-bar handle, and a hooped slatted basket of red pomace. Gold cider runs from the bed's spout into a wooden tub.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Cider press for the Autumn Orchard kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Autumn Orchard kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Harvest time on a small farm. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: russet #988e81, apple red #c32222, gold #d0a225, cream #f1e7d0, russet dark #70685c, apple red dark #821717, russet light #b6b3af, apple red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.24 m wide (x) × 1.23 m deep (z) × 1.76 m tall (to the screw cap) at the defaults. The press is a farm-scale single-basket screw press with a 0.80 m square bed 0.56 m off the ground. The basket is 0.56 m across, and the catch tub is 0.36 m across. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint (tub included), resting on y = 0. The front (spout and tub) faces +Z. The GLB has 2,404 triangles in 18 meshes and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Each material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. season (the kit's 'Season', 0 = late summer, 1 = late autumn) sets the pomace and the waiting red apples to apple red light (below 0.34), apple red, or apple red dark (0.67 and above); it does not affect the gold apples. press moves the follower, blocks, capstan and screw down by up to 16 cm and shortens the pomace; the T-bar always stays above the basket rim. basketHeight raises the basket and, with it, the head beam and posts. staves sets 12–20 basket staves. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected: more than 10 materials and duplicate names (one material per mesh), non-indexed flat shading, overlapping sibling boxes (posts, bearers and braces are joined timbers), and the follower plate and blocks flagged as detached (they rest on the pomace, which is a separate part). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 11 survive the GLB reload. Fix round 1: the hero and back views were widened (margin 0.9 to 1.02, elevation 22° to 25°), because the tub and the front sill touched the bottom of the frame.
About the Cider press 3D model
Cider press is a free low-poly 3D model from the Autumn Orchard set. It measures 1.2 m × 1.8 m × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,404 triangles across 18 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 185 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Cider press 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 185 KB: 2,404 triangles, 7,212 vertices and 18 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 1.8 m × 1.2 m.
- Can I animate Cider press?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Cider press 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
