Dog sled
A low-poly basket dog sled for the Arctic Tundra kit: dark-wood runners with upturned tips, a slatted bed with stanchions and top rails, a tall driving bow, an ice-blue sled bag strapped in with green straps, and a green gangline running ahead from the bridle ring. A 6-second loop works the claw brake, swings the snow hook and sways the gangline.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Dog sled for the Arctic Tundra kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Arctic Tundra kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Ice, wind and long light. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: ice blue #2e67b8, white #f4f1ec, slate #525e6f, aurora green #3a883a, ice blue dark #1f457a, white dark #d7cebc, ice blue light #6190d1, white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `snowDepth` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Snow depth" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the runners are 2.4 m long on a 0.52 m track. The handlebar stands 1.0 m tall (1.02 m over the grip), the bed is 0.2 m off the ground and the top rails sit at 0.46 m. With the bridle and the 0.85 m gangline lying ahead on the ground, the footprint is about 0.62 × 3.75 m. The origin is at the bottom centre of that footprint, the model rests on y = 0 (the slate shoes and the gangline), and the runner tips face +Z. The GLB has 1,904 triangles in 23 meshes. three-check's 2,194-triangle figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. The baked clip scene-motion (6 s, seamless, identical at 0 s and 6 s) moves only three parts, each about its own pivot. The brake board rotates on the hinge bar between the handlebar uprights: it is raised at rest, gets stepped down until the slate claws are 6 mm above the snow line, then springs back. The snow hook swings from its eye on the right upright, always outward, clear of the upright. The gangline sways about the bridle ring. Runners, basket, bag and handlebar never move. The GLB's static node transforms are the pose at the moment of export (t = 2 s, brake pressed). Play or sample the clip at 0 s for the rest pose. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour: 9 of the 12 are used, and white light, warm white and ice blue light are not. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. snowDepth (the kit's 'Snow depth') thickens the snow pillows on the bag lid (1 to 8 cm) and the drift on the free front of the bed (no drift at 0). sledLength stretches the runners, bed and bag and adds stanchions. handleHeight raises the driving bow. bagHeight sets the sled bag's height. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The pale disc in the preview is viewer staging and is not in the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 expected warnings: 23 materials against the direction's default of 10, and duplicate same-named materials (both from the per-mesh export; there are only 9 distinct colours); non-indexed geometry (deliberate hard flat-shaded facets); overlapping siblings (pads on runners, slats on rails, hinge bar between uprights); and 'detached part' heuristics for the brushbow and the snow, which are fixed to the runner tips and rest on the bag. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 11 ids. The single fix round was visual: the gangline was shortened and the views tightened so the sled fills the hero.
About the Dog sled 3D model
Dog sled is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Arctic Tundra set. It measures 70 cm × 1.0 m × 3.8 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,904 triangles across 23 meshes, with 11 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 173 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Dog sled 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 173 KB: 1,904 triangles, 5,712 vertices and 23 materials, modelled in metres at 70 cm × 1.0 m × 3.8 m.
- Is Dog sled animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Dog sled 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
