Giant fungus trees

A cluster of giant alien fungus trees: a 9 m teal stalk under a wide faceted magenta cap, with smaller side trees sharing the buttress-root base. Glow bulbs hang from the dark cap underside on thin threads, with glow warts studding the stalk.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Giant fungus trees for the Alien Jungle kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Alien Jungle kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A glowing forest on another world. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: teal #2d8686, magenta #d02597, bioluminescent green #3a883a, deep purple #432055, teal dark #1a4d4d, magenta dark #8f1968, teal light #46b9b9, magenta light #de63b5, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `glowColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Glow colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Main tree stands 9.03 m (default height 9 m plus cap); footprint roughly 7.7 x 7 m — believable giant-fungus scale for the Alien Jungle kit. Static asset, no animation. Params: height scales the whole tree, capWidth scales cap radius relative to height, sideTrees adds/removes satellite trees, glowColour picks the kit's glow colour (0-0.33 bioluminescent green, 0.33-0.67 teal light, 0.67-1 magenta light) for bulbs and warts. GLB node names carry the library ids; extras.partId carries the hyphenless plan ids the checker expects. The viewer's exporter clones materials per mesh, so the GLB lists the same named palette materials once per part (15 entries, 7 unique names) — recolouring by material name still works. glb-lint verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract exists; it reports 0 errors (warnings: per-mesh material clones, intentionally non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, deliberate part overlaps, 9 m scale).

About the Giant fungus trees 3D model

Giant fungus trees is a free low-poly 3D model from the Alien Jungle set. It measures 8.2 m × 9.0 m × 7.6 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,090 triangles across 15 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 201 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Giant fungus trees 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 201 KB: 2,090 triangles, 6,270 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 8.2 m × 9.0 m × 7.6 m.
Can I animate Giant fungus trees?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Giant fungus trees 3D model made?
Devin (SWE-2 Max) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
