Pool tiles

A 4 × 4 m low-poly ground tile from the Alien Jungle kit: a sunken pool of glowing water ringed by stone coping tiles, with lily pads, a crystal islet, glowing bulb reeds and small glow caps. The flat edges tile seamlessly on a 4 m grid.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Pool tiles for the Alien Jungle kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Alien Jungle kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A glowing forest on another world. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: teal #2d8686, magenta #d02597, bioluminescent green #3a883a, deep purple #432055, teal dark #1a4d4d, magenta dark #8f1968, teal light #46b9b9, magenta light #de63b5, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `glowColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Glow colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 4.0 × 4.0 m footprint, 1.29 m tall at default (reed tips); origin at the tile centre on y = 0. The whole perimeter is flat at y = 0 and every prop stays at least 0.25 m inside the edge, so tiles butt together in any direction and rotation; the pool mound rises to 0.36 m at the coping. The underside is a single downward face at y = 0 that closes the tile; it shares that plane with the top skirt (opposite facing), so turn backface culling on if your viewer renders both sides. Materials are named after the Alien Jungle palette colours ('teal dark', 'deep purple', 'mid grey', 'warm white', 'soot black', 'teal', 'magenta dark', plus the glow colour). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat across meshes with identical settings; recolour by name. glowColour picks one palette glow in steps rather than blending: 0–0.33 teal light, 0.33–0.66 bioluminescent green (default), 0.66–1 magenta light. The glow is an emissive colour only (no bloom in the file). Part ids use the hyphen-free slug 'alienjunglepooltiles' because the kit's part-id format does not allow hyphens. Static model, no animation clip. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 advisory warnings (repeated material names, material count, intentionally nested parts); its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied.
