Gate lounge
A low-poly bay of an airport departure gate: rows of back-to-back beam seats on a navy carpet, facing a tall window wall onto the apron. At the gate end stand a podium desk, a navy gate sign with a yellow airline livery band and a yellow-framed boarding door. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Gate lounge for the Airport Terminal kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Airport Terminal kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Check-in to gate. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cool grey #7c7e83, navy #1c2a54, signal yellow #ffdb29, white #f4f1ec, cool grey dark #57585c, navy dark #090d1b, cool grey light #a6a6a6, navy light #344989, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `airlineLivery` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Airline livery" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 8 m long (X) by 6 m deep (Z) by 3.66 m tall at the window-wall cap. The floor top is at 0.15 m, the seats are at 0.46 m and the gate sign top is at 3.25 m. Modular: the bay runs along +X from its snapping end at x = 0 to x = length, which is always whole metres, so it snaps on the kit's 1 m grid. The origin is at the snapping end (x = 0, centred across the depth, y = 0); this replaces the library's usual bottom-centre origin. Mullions and floor grout sit on whole metres, and the end mullions are half width, so two butted bays form one full mullion at the joint. The carpet stops short of both snap edges. The window wall is on the -Z side and the lounge faces +Z. The ends are open and there is no ceiling, so the lounge reads from above. The gate end (boarding door, podium, sign) is at +X. Nothing goes below y = 0, and no ground, apron or plane is included. The exported GLB has 3,228 triangles in 42 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed), so the facets survive in any engine. All 12 kit colours are used and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same name appears on several materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. airlineLivery (the kit's 'Airline livery') sets how much signal-yellow livery the gate carries: the band on the gate sign (0.08 to 0.5 m), the stripe round the podium (0.08 to 0.38 m) and the surround of the boarding door (0.04 to 0.2 m). It does not change hue. length (6 to 14 m, rounded to whole metres) adds seats to each row. seatRows sets 1 to 3 back-to-back rows. three-check passed with every param at its maximum (about 5,700 viewer triangles) and at its minimum (about 1,960). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. Two come from the per-mesh materials (material count and duplicate names). One flags non-indexed geometry, which is deliberate flat shading. One flags overlaps where grout, trims and panels are deliberately embedded. The last compares the height with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 9 survive the GLB reload.
About the Gate lounge 3D model
Gate lounge is a free low-poly 3D model from the Airport Terminal set. It measures 8.0 m × 3.7 m × 6.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,228 triangles across 42 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 261 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Gate lounge 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 261 KB: 3,228 triangles, 9,684 vertices and 42 materials, modelled in metres at 8.0 m × 3.7 m × 6.0 m.
- Can I animate Gate lounge?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Gate lounge 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
