Duty-free shelves

A low-poly, double-sided duty-free gondola for an airport terminal. It has a navy spine, warm white end panels, grey shelves with price rails, faceted bottles and gift boxes on every level, and a navy header with a yellow airline-livery band.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Duty-free shelves for the Airport Terminal kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Airport Terminal kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Check-in to gate. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cool grey #7c7e83, navy #1c2a54, signal yellow #ffdb29, white #f4f1ec, cool grey dark #57585c, navy dark #090d1b, cool grey light #a6a6a6, navy light #344989, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `airlineLivery` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Airline livery" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.90 m wide (X, including the header's 2 cm overhang each side), 0.88 m deep (Z) and 1.95 m tall. It has two 0.90 m bays, a 0.10 m plinth, shelves at about 0.48, 0.83 and 1.18 m, and the header from 1.62 to 1.95 m. It is an island unit stocked on both faces: the front faces +Z and the back faces -Z. The origin is at the bottom centre and the unit rests on y = 0. The exported model has 2,464 triangles in 17 meshes. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and the GLB names some colours twice because the runtime exporter clones materials per mesh. The model is static, with no animation clip. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. airlineLivery (the kit's 'Airline livery') sets the height of the yellow band across both faces of the header, from a 3 cm pinstripe at 0 to 23 cm at 1. bayCount sets 1 to 3 bays. shelfCount sets 2 to 4 shelves above the stock deck. stockFill thins the stock with a fixed seed, so the result is deterministic. The max extreme (3 bays, 4 shelves, fill 1, livery 1) passed three-check at 5,872 model triangles, inside the 6,000 budget. Bottles are hexagonal with open bottoms, because they always stand on a shelf. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, covering the material count and duplicates from the exporter, non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading) and nested part bounds. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; three-check accepts them, and all 6 survive the GLB reload.

About the Duty-free shelves 3D model

Duty-free shelves is a free low-poly 3D model from the Airport Terminal set. It measures 1.9 m × 1.9 m × 88 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,464 triangles across 17 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 188 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Duty-free shelves 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 188 KB: 2,464 triangles, 7,392 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 1.9 m × 1.9 m × 88 cm.
Can I animate Duty-free shelves?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Duty-free shelves 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
