Check-in hall
A low-poly cutaway of an airport check-in hall in front of a tall glazed curtain wall. A central island of check-in counters with weighing scales feeds a baggage belt under navy-and-yellow airline header screens, with serpentine queue stanchions, a hanging departures board, self-service kiosks, a row of seats and luggage trolleys with suitcases.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Check-in hall for the Airport Terminal kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Airport Terminal kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Check-in to gate. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cool grey #7c7e83, navy #1c2a54, signal yellow #ffdb29, white #f4f1ec, cool grey dark #57585c, navy dark #090d1b, cool grey light #a6a6a6, navy light #344989, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `airlineLivery` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Airline livery" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the floor is 16 m wide (x) by 9 m deep (z). The 0.2 m floor slab carries side walls and a back curtain wall that rise 5.4 m above the floor to 5.6 m. Two gabled roof beams, one over the curtain wall and one over the open front, crown at 6.68 m. The 0.9 m entrance canopy on the right (+X) wall projects past the 16 m footprint. It is a cutaway: the front (+Z) is open, and the roof is open beams and purlins with no skin, so the interior reads from above. The origin is at the bottom centre and the slab rests on y = 0. The GLB has 5,948 triangles across 55 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed), so the facets survive in any engine. All 12 kit colours are used and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. airlineLivery (the kit's 'Airline livery') sets how much signal-yellow livery the desks carry: the band on each header screen (10–60% of its face) and the stripe across each counter front (0.06–0.36 m). It does not change hue. hallWidth (13–20 m) resizes the hall. deskCount sets 2–7 counters but is capped by the hall width: a 13 m hall fits at most 3. queueRows sets 1–4 rows of serpentine stanchions. In the viewer the model measured about 8,100 triangles with every param at its maximum and about 3,750 with every param at its minimum, so all settings stay under 10,000. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. Two cover the material count, both from the per-mesh materials. One flags non-indexed geometry, which is deliberate flat shading. One flags overlaps where grout, trims and panels are deliberately embedded. The last compares the height with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 12 survive the GLB reload. The viewer's portrait (390×844) hero crops the hall; the 1280×800 preview frames the whole hall.
About the Check-in hall 3D model
Check-in hall is a free low-poly 3D model from the Airport Terminal set. It measures 17 m × 6.7 m × 9.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 5,948 triangles across 55 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 463 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Check-in hall 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 463 KB: 5,948 triangles, 17,844 vertices and 55 materials, modelled in metres at 17 m × 6.7 m × 9.1 m.
- Can I animate Check-in hall?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Check-in hall 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
