Map turns a list of locations and a description of the look into a branded, embeddable store locator: a searchable list, near me, pins and popups, category filters, light and dark themes, and embed code. The finished embed runs offline, with no map tiles and no API keys.
It shipped in 1.15.0. Routes, trips and data choropleths are not this template, and "a map of how modules relate" is a Diagram.
Start a map
Pick Map on Home, paste your locations ("Paste your locations and describe the look"), and choose a base map:

A list can be CSV or TSV with a header row, a JSON array or GeoJSON, or pasted
lines such as name — address — hours — phone.
Every row is accounted for
The import reports each row as imported, merged or rejected, with a reason you can read. Extra columns are kept per location and can be shown in the popup or searched. Where the name and the address disagree about a street number, the row gets a review note rather than a silent pick.
Coordinates come from your data, a manual placement, or opt-in geocoding, and they are never invented. Geocoding is off by default; when you turn it on, low-confidence or ambiguous results stay unplaced until you confirm them. A location without coordinates fails the check until it is placed.
The base map and your privacy
City and store maps include OpenStreetMap streets, downloaded once when the map is built and bundled into the embed. Only the map's bounding box is sent, never your location list. If the download fails, the previous base map is kept. Country and continent maps use the bundled Natural Earth coastline and need no network at all.
In the preview and the embed you can zoom with the mouse wheel or trackpad, and a local map stays within its coverage when you zoom out or pan.
What the map check covers
Before delivery the gate checks the data and renders the embed at 375, 768 and 1280 px in light and dark:
- locations outside the region you declared, and pins in water
- name or address mismatches
- contrast for pins, labels and list text
- keyboard access, a skip link and 44 px tap targets
- overlapping pins, the declared font actually applied, and a blank base map
- no keys, external calls or storage in the embed
Hard findings block delivery, soft ones are reported as warnings. The agent tells you which locations are low confidence or flagged, and where the embed snippets are.

Export the map as HTML (the embed), PNG or a ZIP of the whole embed folder.
