Warning signs

A low-poly energy-site warning sign stack on twin steel posts: a red-bordered high-voltage triangle with a black lightning bolt, a round no-entry disc and a blue hard-hat board, with a red-and-white windsock on the mast above. Concrete footings with grass tufts hold it up.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Warning signs for the Wind and Solar Farm kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Wind and Solar Farm kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Clean power on open land. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, panel blue #2e67b8, grass green #3a883a, signal red #e90c0c, white dark #d7cebc, panel blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, panel blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `windSpeed` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Wind speed" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 3.08 m tall to the windsock mast cap (the triangle apex is at about 2.75 m). The two posts stand 0.40 m apart on concrete footings 0.36 m square. The triangle is 0.9 m on a side, the no-entry disc is 0.52 m across and the hard-hat board is 0.70 × 0.44 m. The lowest board's bottom edge is 0.9 m above the ground. The windsock is 0.66 m long. The origin is at the bottom centre, the model rests on y = 0 and the signs face +Z. The backs are plain grey plates with clamp blocks on the posts. windSpeed (the kit's 'Wind speed') lifts the windsock from hanging slack (0) to standing straight out (1). It is a static pose, not an animation. clearance (0.6–1.3 m) raises the sign stack on longer posts, and signScale (0.8–1.2) scales the panels. The combined extreme (windSpeed 0, clearance 1.3, signScale 1.2) passed three-check with the slack sock clear of the triangle. The params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. The GLB has 842 triangles in 20 meshes and is static, with no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (8 of the 12 are used; white light, panel blue light, warm white and dark wood are not). Names repeat across the per-part meshes, so recolour by name. The viewer's staging ground and light rig are not in the GLB. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected: duplicate material names come from the per-part, per-colour meshes; geometry is non-indexed on purpose for flat facets; overlaps are face layers and clamps nested on their plates and posts; 'detached' flags sign plates that are held by the posts, which are a separate part; the height warning only compares against a 1 m reference. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check finds all 7 part ids.

About the Warning signs 3D model

Warning signs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Wind and Solar Farm set. It measures 1.4 m × 3.1 m × 49 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 842 triangles across 20 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 77 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Warning signs 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 77 KB: 842 triangles, 2,526 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 1.4 m × 3.1 m × 49 cm.
Can I animate Warning signs?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Warning signs 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
