Turbine towers
A low-poly utility wind turbine at real scale: a tapered white tower on a concrete foundation, a nacelle with cooler and aviation light, and a three-blade rotor with red tip bands. Includes a door, stair and green transformer at the base.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Turbine towers for the Wind and Solar Farm kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Wind and Solar Farm kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Clean power on open land. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, panel blue #2e67b8, grass green #3a883a, signal red #e90c0c, white dark #d7cebc, panel blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, panel blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `windSpeed` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Wind speed" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 80 m hub height, 40 m blades (about 82 m rotor diameter), 119.1 m to the top blade tip; the foundation pad is 12.4 m across. Units are metres, +Y up, the rotor faces +Z, and the origin is the tower's bottom centre with the foundation on y = 0 (the rotor hangs 5.2 m ahead of the tower axis). The GLB has 1,440 triangles in 29 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (7 of the 12); the exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat — recolour by name. windSpeed (the kit's 'Wind speed') sets the blade pitch from 30° feathered at 0 to 0° at 1 and turns the rotor's resting angle by up to 25°, so it is a pose, not motion. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the viewer rebuilds the scene. Blades, rotor hub and nacelle are separate named groups with pivots at the hub, so you can spin blade parts in your engine about the rotor's local Z. glb-lint reported 0 errors; its warnings are expected (more than 10 materials because of one material per mesh, non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, intended nesting of flange rings and door frame, and a 'scale' heuristic that expects 1 m objects). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes, and three-check and the GLB reload keep all 10 ids.
About the Turbine towers 3D model
Turbine towers is a free low-poly 3D model from the Wind and Solar Farm set. It measures 68 m × 119 m × 18 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,440 triangles across 29 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 127 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Turbine towers 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 127 KB: 1,440 triangles, 4,320 vertices and 29 materials, modelled in metres at 68 m × 119 m × 18 m.
- Can I animate Turbine towers?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Turbine towers 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
