Transformers
A low-poly pad-mounted step-up transformer at real scale: a green oil-filled tank on a concrete pad with grey radiator fin banks and cooling fans, a conservator drum and three tall brown porcelain bushings. A front cable box and a white control cabinet finish it for a wind or solar farm.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Transformers for the Wind and Solar Farm kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Wind and Solar Farm kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Clean power on open land. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, panel blue #2e67b8, grass green #3a883a, signal red #e90c0c, white dark #d7cebc, panel blue dark #1f457a, white light #f9f8f6, panel blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `windSpeed` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Wind speed" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the concrete pad is 5.2 m × 3.7 m, the tank 2.3 m wide × 1.7 m deep × 1.9 m tall on a 0.4 m skid, and the bushing terminals reach 3.79 m (3.39–4.29 m across the tankHeight range). Units are metres, +Y up, the front (cable box, cabinet) faces +Z, and the origin is the pad's bottom centre resting on y = 0. The GLB is static and carries no animation clip: 1,896 triangles in 23 meshes at the defaults (1,800–1,992 across the param extremes). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (7 of the 12). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. windSpeed (the kit's 'Wind speed') only sets the cooling fans' blade angle (a pose, not motion), and the fans sit under the radiator banks, so the change is subtle. tankHeight and finCount change the geometry. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the viewer rebuilds the scene. glb-lint reported 0 errors at the defaults and at both param extremes; its warnings are expected (one material per mesh, non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, intended nesting of trim, and a 'scale' heuristic that expects 1 m objects). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes, and three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids.
About the Transformers 3D model
Transformers is a free low-poly 3D model from the Wind and Solar Farm set. It measures 5.2 m × 3.8 m × 3.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,896 triangles across 23 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 153 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Transformers 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 153 KB: 1,896 triangles, 5,688 vertices and 23 materials, modelled in metres at 5.2 m × 3.8 m × 3.7 m.
- Can I animate Transformers?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Transformers 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
