Safari tents
A low-poly safari camp tent: a khaki canvas wall tent under an olive fly sheet that runs forward over a veranda. It stands on a raised timber deck with steps, a railing, guy ropes and two red director's chairs.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Safari tents for the Savanna kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Savanna kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Golden grass and big animals. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: straw gold #d0a225, acacia green #3a883a, earth red #c32222, dusk purple #572e6b, straw gold dark #8f7019, acacia green dark #235223, straw gold light #debd63, acacia green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `dryOrWetSeason` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Dry or wet season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 3.69 m tall to the fly ridge. The canvas body is 4 × 5 m and the raised deck is 5.2 × 7.45 m, 0.45 m off the ground. The footprint is about 7.4 × 9.5 m including the steps and the guy-rope pegs. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the bottom centre and the front (door, veranda, steps) faces +Z. dryOrWetSeason (the kit's 'Dry or wet season') keeps the door and window flaps rolled up through the dry half (0–0.5). Above 0.5 they come down, and at 1 they are closed. tentLength (4–7 m) lengthens the canvas body, the deck and the fly. verandaDepth (1.2–3 m) sets how far the deck and fly run forward of the door. chairs (0–2) sets the director's chairs on the veranda. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The GLB has 1,544 triangles in 20 meshes and is static, with no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour; 9 of the 12 kit colours are used (acacia green, acacia green light and dusk purple are not used). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat: recolour by name. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 expected warnings. The material count and duplicate names come from the per-part, per-colour meshes. The geometry is non-indexed on purpose, for flat facets. The parts overlap because they nest: the body, door and windows sit on the deck. The 'detached' parts touch meshes in other part groups. The height warning only compares against a 1 m reference. The verdict line reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check keeps all 11 ids. Viewer-only staging: exposure is 0.7; it is not in the GLB.
About the Safari tents 3D model
Safari tents is a free low-poly 3D model from the Savanna set. It measures 7.4 m × 3.7 m × 9.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,544 triangles across 20 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 126 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Safari tents 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 126 KB: 1,544 triangles, 4,632 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 7.4 m × 3.7 m × 9.5 m.
- Can I animate Safari tents?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Safari tents 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
