Lookout platform
A low-poly safari lookout tower for the Savanna kit. It has a railed plank deck 3.5 m up on four splayed, X-braced timber legs, red canvas screens on three sides, a stepped straw-thatch pyramid roof and a ladder up the open front.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Lookout platform for the Savanna kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Savanna kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Golden grass and big animals. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: straw gold #d0a225, acacia green #3a883a, earth red #c32222, dusk purple #572e6b, straw gold dark #8f7019, acacia green dark #235223, straw gold light #debd63, acacia green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `dryOrWetSeason` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Dry or wet season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 8.0 m tall to the finial. The deck top is 3.5 m up and the deck is 3.0 m square. The overall footprint is 4.9 m wide (X) by 5.6 m deep (Z), including the roof eaves, the splayed footings and the ladder foot out front. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, the footings rest on y = 0 and the ladder faces +Z. The GLB is static: it carries no animation clip and has 1796 triangles in 15 meshes. three-check's figure (about 2.1k) also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. At the defaults, 7 of the 12 colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names like 'dark wood' repeat; recolour by name. dryOrWetSeason (the kit's 'Dry or wet season'): below 0.6 the thatch is straw gold with a pale middle course; from 0.6 up it is darker wet thatch. The grass tufts go golden below 0.33, mixed in the middle and green above 0.67, and grow taller toward the wet end. deckHeight and deckSize resize the frame, and the roof, ladder and tufts follow. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected. They cover repeated material names from the per-mesh export, non-indexed geometry used on purpose for flat facets, nested thatch courses and planks counted as overlaps, 'detached' flags for parts that are seated into their neighbours, and an 8 m height against a 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids.
About the Lookout platform 3D model
Lookout platform is a free low-poly 3D model from the Savanna set. It measures 4.9 m × 8.0 m × 5.6 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,796 triangles across 15 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 185 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Lookout platform 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 185 KB: 1,796 triangles, 5,388 vertices and 15 materials, modelled in metres at 4.9 m × 8.0 m × 5.6 m.
- Can I animate Lookout platform?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Lookout platform 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
