Drying racks

A low-poly bamboo fish-drying rack on stilts in a patch of shallow delta river water: two tiers of woven split-bamboo trays laid with rows of salted fish, and a top rail of whole fish hung by the tail.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Drying racks for the River Delta kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the River Delta kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stilt houses and floating trade. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: muddy brown #43372d, palm green #3a883a, bright boat colours #b39d80, sky blue #2e67b8, muddy brown dark #15120e, palm green dark #235223, muddy brown light #6d5d50, palm green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `waterLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Water level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 3.3 m wide (x) × 1.8 m deep (z) × 2.02 m tall at the defaults; the rack itself is 2.4 m long (3 bays of 0.8 m) × 0.9 m deep, trays at 1.0 m and 1.42 m above the river bed. Origin at the bottom centre, the water patch rests on y = 0, the long side faces +Z. The water is a solid, opaque oval slab (not a transparent plane) that carries the piece. waterLevel (the kit's 'Water level') sets the water surface from 0.25 m to 0.65 m; the stilts stay on the bed and their tide band follows the waterline. bays (2–4) sets the rack length, tiers (1–3) the number of trays, load (0–1) how many fish lie on the trays and hang from the rail (fish appear in fixed seeded spots). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. The default GLB has 5,420 triangles in 13 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; at the maximum (4 bays × 3 tiers, full load) it rises to an estimated ~9k triangles (not measured), over the 6k game budget, so lower load to trim it. three-check's ~5.7k figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (9 of the 12; palm green shades are unused). glb-lint reports 0 errors and only heuristic warnings (non-indexed flat-shaded primitives, overlapping part boxes, model taller than the 1 m reference). plan-check rejects the hyphenated slug part ids the library mandates; a copy with the ids de-hyphenated passes, and three-check accepts the hyphenated ids.

About the Drying racks 3D model

Drying racks is a free low-poly 3D model from the River Delta set. It measures 3.2 m × 2.0 m × 1.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 5,420 triangles across 13 meshes, with 5 named parts. Download the 393 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Drying racks 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 393 KB: 5,420 triangles, 16,260 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 3.2 m × 2.0 m × 1.7 m.
Can I animate Drying racks?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 5 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Drying racks 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
