Potted plants

A low-poly cluster of three street potted plants from a tropical shop-house lane: a banana plant in a tall glazed ochre pot, a round shrub in a red painted tin, and a snake plant in a small concrete pot. Game-ready at 1,208 triangles.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Potted plants for the Motorbike Alley kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Motorbike Alley kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A narrow tropical lane of shop houses. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: faded yellow #dbc970, teal shutters #2d8686, red #c32222, wet concrete #8a8a8a, faded yellow dark #ccb233, teal shutters dark #1a4d4d, faded yellow light #e8dfb0, teal shutters light #46b9b9, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `signLanguageAndText` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sign language and text" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: the cluster is 1.14 m wide (X) by 1.18 m deep (Z) by 1.18 m tall. Most of the width and depth comes from the arching banana leaves; the pots stand on a footprint about 0.85 × 0.6 m. Tall pot: 0.52 m high and Ø 0.46 m. Red tin: 0.30 m high and Ø 0.32 m. Concrete pot: 0.22 m high and Ø 0.24 m. The front faces +Z, the origin is at the bottom centre (baked into the vertices, with no node offsets), and all three pots rest on y = 0. The model is static, with no animation clip. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. signLanguageAndText (the kit's 'Sign language and text') sizes a blank, red-bordered price tag hung from the tall pot's lip on the street face. It is removed at 0 and never shows real text. potCount removes the concrete pot first, then the red tin. The foliage uses the kit's teal family because the palette has no green. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. One material is written per part mesh, so red, warm white and soot black each appear twice; recolour by name. Banana leaf blades are single folded strips written with both windings, so they have no back-face holes. Flat-shaded, non-indexed geometry. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. They cover the material count (14 vs the direction's soft max of 10, from the per-part duplicates), duplicate material names, non-indexed geometry, nested overlaps (the snake-plant blades and the band on the concrete pot) and soil discs seated inside the pots. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.

About the Potted plants 3D model

Potted plants is a free low-poly 3D model from the Motorbike Alley set. It measures 1.1 m × 1.2 m × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,208 triangles across 14 meshes, with 5 named parts. Download the 97 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Potted plants 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 97 KB: 1,208 triangles, 3,624 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 1.1 m × 1.2 m × 1.2 m.
Can I animate Potted plants?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 5 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Potted plants 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
