Fruit trays

A two-tier Lunar New Year fruit tray set: an octagonal red lacquer compartment tray on a dark-wood stand, filled with apples, peaches, lychees and lotus-seed sweets, with a footed plate in the centre stacked with a pyramid of golden mandarins. Low-poly, flat-shaded and game-ready.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Fruit trays for the Lunar New Year Street kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Lunar New Year Street kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A street dressed for the festival. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red #c32222, gold #d0a225, peach blossom pink #e085a3, black #151619, red dark #821717, gold dark #8f7019, red light #db5757, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `zodiacAnimal` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Zodiac animal" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: 0.417 m across the rim corners (0.385 m face to face) and 0.261 m tall at default params; origin at bottom centre, front faces +Z. 4628 triangles in the GLB at default; the worst case (mandarinLayers 4, widest tray) stays under 6000. Static model, no animation clip. Materials are named with the kit palette names (red, gold, gold dark, red dark, red light, peach blossom pink, warm white, black, dark wood) so the kit can recolour by name. zodiacAnimal changes the modelled head on the four gold medallions, from round side ears (0, rat-like) to long upright ears (1, rabbit-like). Params change the geometry only when the model is rebuilt in the viewer; the GLB is the default configuration. Each part group carries the slug id; its meshes also carry a 'fruittrays.*' sub-id (the plan format forbids hyphens). Geometry is de-indexed with baked face normals so it stays faceted in any engine. Buried interior mandarins of the pyramid are omitted to save triangles. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, all intended: non-indexed (flat shading), nested parts (coin and emblem, fruit and stems), parts that don't touch the ground (tray, rim, liner and dividers rest on the stand) and a scale note (a 0.26 m tabletop prop).

About the Fruit trays 3D model

Fruit trays is a free low-poly 3D model from the Lunar New Year Street set. It measures 39 cm × 26 cm × 39 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,628 triangles across 17 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 341 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Fruit trays 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 341 KB: 4,628 triangles, 13,884 vertices and 9 materials, modelled in metres at 39 cm × 26 cm × 39 cm.
Can I animate Fruit trays?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Fruit trays 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
