How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Temple front for the Lunar New Year Street kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Lunar New Year Street kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A street dressed for the festival. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red #c32222, gold #d0a225, peach blossom pink #e085a3, black #151619, red dark #821717, gold dark #8f7019, red light #db5757, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `zodiacAnimal` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Zodiac animal" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Default size 12.6 m wide (eave tip to tip) × 8.9 m tall × 9.5 m deep; the column line is 9 m × 5.6 m on a 0.7 m podium. Metres, +Y up, front faces +Z, origin at the bottom centre on y = 0. Static model with no animation clip, 6378 triangles at default (8376 at the widest 5-bay setting). Each material is named for its kit palette swatch (e.g. 'red', 'gold dark'). The exporter gives every mesh its own copy of the material, so the GLB holds 38 materials that share 12 names: recolour by name, not by index. Part ids use the hyphen-free root 'lunarnewyearstreettemplefront' because the kit's part-id grammar does not allow hyphens. zodiacAnimal (0–1) gradually reshapes the two guardian figures' ears, horns, mane and snout through the zodiac cycle, from long-eared at the ends of the range to a horned, maned dragon-like guardian at the default 0.5. It does not produce 12 distinct animals. bays is forced to an odd value so the door stays centred, and hall depth scales slightly with facadeWidth below 9 m. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 advisory warnings (material count, duplicate materials from the per-mesh copies, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, intended part overlaps, building-scale height). Its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. The viewer's ground disc and lights are not part of the GLB.

About the Temple front 3D model

Temple front is a free low-poly 3D model from the Lunar New Year Street set. It measures 13 m × 8.9 m × 9.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 6,378 triangles across 38 meshes, with 14 named parts. Download the 482 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Temple front 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 482 KB: 6,378 triangles, 19,134 vertices and 38 materials, modelled in metres at 13 m × 8.9 m × 9.5 m.
Can I animate Temple front?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 14 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Temple front 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
