Gate arch
A low-poly Lunar New Year street gate (paifang). It has four red pillars on grey clamping stones, a tall central bay with a gold-framed plaque under a soot-black roof with upturned gold eaves, two lower side bays, hanging red lanterns and a gold zodiac medallion on the ridge.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Gate arch for the Lunar New Year Street kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Lunar New Year Street kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A street dressed for the festival. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red #c32222, gold #d0a225, peach blossom pink #e085a3, black #151619, red dark #821717, gold dark #8f7019, red light #db5757, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `zodiacAnimal` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Zodiac animal" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: 8.0 m module length (X), 8.2 m tall to the top of the zodiac medallion (central ridge at 7.2 m) and 2.46 m deep (Z). The central opening is 3.4 m between pillar centres with 4.06 m clear under the low lintel. Each side opening is 1.85 m between pillar centres with 3.41 m clear. Units are metres, +Y is up and the front faces +Z. Modular on a 1 m grid: `span` is whole metres (7-12) along X. The origin is at the snapping end: x = 0 is the module's left end, y = 0 is the ground (the clamping-stone footings rest on it) and z = 0 is the middle of the footprint depth. The model fills x = 0 to span (eave tips stop 5 cm inside each end), so copies or other kit pieces snap edge to edge. The exported GLB has 2,848 triangles. It is a static asset with no animation clip. zodiacAnimal ('Zodiac animal') picks one of 12 signs (floor(value x 12): 0 = Rat ... 11 = Pig, default 0.5 = Horse). It marks that sign as a peach-pink stud, with a red-dark hand pointing to it, on the abstract zodiac wheel on both faces of the ridge medallion. No animal figure or text is modelled. centralHeight raises the whole bay stack and the side bays with it. roofFlare sets how far the eave corners turn up. Every material is flat-shaded, metalness 0 and untextured, and is named exactly after its kit palette colour (all 12 are used). Flat facet normals are baked in, so the model stays faceted in any engine. The runtime's exporter writes one material copy per merged mesh (31 entries, 12 unique names), so recolour by name. Part ids use the slug with its hyphens removed ('lunarnewyearstreetgatearch.*') because the kit's part-id rule allows no hyphens. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. Its warnings are heuristic: material copies over the direction default, non-indexed primitives (deliberate flat facets), sibling overlaps (beams, collars and stones are intentionally embedded in the pillars) and the 8.2 m real-world height. The ground disc in the preview is viewer staging only and is not in the GLB.
About the Gate arch 3D model
Gate arch is a free low-poly 3D model from the Lunar New Year Street set. It measures 7.9 m × 8.2 m × 2.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,848 triangles across 31 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 226 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Gate arch 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 226 KB: 2,848 triangles, 8,544 vertices and 31 materials, modelled in metres at 7.9 m × 8.2 m × 2.5 m.
- Can I animate Gate arch?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Gate arch 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
