How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Firecrackers for the Lunar New Year Street kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Lunar New Year Street kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A street dressed for the festival. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red #c32222, gold #d0a225, peach blossom pink #e085a3, black #151619, red dark #821717, gold dark #8f7019, red light #db5757, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `zodiacAnimal` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Zodiac animal" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.94 m wide x 1.74 m tall x 0.40 m deep; crackers are 10.5 cm long and the braid is about 0.2 m across (slightly oversized for readability). 4,384 triangles. Origin at bottom centre, front faces +Z. Every material is named by its kit palette colour (red, gold, red dark, gold light, gold dark, black, dark wood, warm white, red light). The exporter writes one material copy per mesh (31 entries, 9 unique names), so recolour by name. The frame (feet, posts, lintel, hook) is static. The clip 'scene-motion' (6 s, seamless) rotates the three string links about pivots on the cord axis (the top one at the hook eye), flickers the spark and flashes three pop bursts that rest at near-zero scale. zodiacAnimal picks one of twelve stylised emblem heads on both faces of the medallion, in order rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, pig; the default 0.5 is the horse (2026). Params change the model at build time; the GLB carries the default build. Part ids use the slug without hyphens (lunarnewyearstreetfirecrackers.*) because the kit's part-id grammar does not allow hyphens; this matches the rest of the set.

About the Firecrackers 3D model

Firecrackers is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Lunar New Year Street set. It measures 94 cm × 1.7 m × 40 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,384 triangles across 31 meshes, with 15 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 378 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Firecrackers 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 378 KB: 4,384 triangles, 13,152 vertices and 31 materials, modelled in metres at 94 cm × 1.7 m × 40 cm.
Is Firecrackers animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Firecrackers 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
