Fireplace
A low-poly library fireplace: a tall mahogany chimney breast with a cornice and panelled overmantel, a pilastered mantel dressed with books, a clock and brass candlesticks, and a stone-framed firebox with a lit fire basket behind a brass fender.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Fireplace for the Library and Study kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Library and Study kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tall shelves and a reading chair. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: mahogany #602b20, forest green #3a883a, brass #b28c34, parchment #e6d6b3, mahogany dark #26110d, forest green dark #235223, mahogany light #944738, forest green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `bookColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Book colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.6 m wide (chimney breast), 2.4 m tall to the cornice top (matching the kit's bookshelf walls), 0.86 m deep including the stone hearth; the mantel shelf top is at 1.21 m. Origin: bottom centre of the back face (x = 0, z = 0, floor level), so the piece sits flush against a room wall; the front faces +Z and the model rests on y = 0. The back is one plain mahogany-dark face meant to go against a wall. The GLB has 1,592 triangles in 30 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 1,858-triangle figure also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Each part is a group holding one mesh per palette colour (e.g. mantel.mahogany_light). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and names repeat because the exporter clones materials per mesh. The flames are static faceted brass and parchment cones, not an animated or emissive effect. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. bookColours (the kit's 'Book colours') sets the share of mantel book spines drawn from the bright kit colours instead of leather tones: 0 gives all leather browns and black, 1 gives about 60 % bright. The layout uses a fixed seed. width (1.4–2.0 m) widens the chimney breast, cornice and hearth around a fixed-size opening and mantel. mantelBooks stops adding books once the row reaches the clock, so on the default shelf about 10–11 is the visible maximum. fire 0 removes the flames and leaves the logs. The max extreme (width 2.0, 14 books, colours 1, lit) and the min extreme (width 1.4, no books, colours 0, unlit) both passed three-check, at 1,906 and 1,646 triangles including the staging ground. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, covering material count and exporter duplicates, non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), overlapping sibling meshes (one per colour inside the same part), the picture light reported as detached (its bracket meets the breast in another part), and a 2.4 m height against the direction's 1 m reference. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 12 planned ids. Fix rounds: (1) replaced a bright green overmantel panel that read as a screen with three raised mahogany panels, and loosened the hero framing; (2) rebuilt the chimney breast as one back slab to remove a seam on the back; (3) moved the cornice band off the back face to stop z-fighting.
About the Fireplace 3D model
Fireplace is a free low-poly 3D model from the Library and Study set. It measures 1.7 m × 2.4 m × 86 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,592 triangles across 30 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 138 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Fireplace 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 138 KB: 1,592 triangles, 4,776 vertices and 30 materials, modelled in metres at 1.7 m × 2.4 m × 86 cm.
- Can I animate Fireplace?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Fireplace 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
