Armchairs
A low-poly wingback reading chair in forest-green leather, with tall swept wings, rolled arms studded with brass nailheads, turned dark legs on brass ferrules and two books left on the seat.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Armchairs for the Library and Study kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Library and Study kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tall shelves and a reading chair. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: mahogany #602b20, forest green #3a883a, brass #b28c34, parchment #e6d6b3, mahogany dark #26110d, forest green dark #235223, mahogany light #944738, forest green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `bookColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Book colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.88 m wide (X) × 0.88 m deep (Z) × 1.24 m tall at the arched crest, including the 1 cm seat-rail lip. Seat height is about 0.45 m and the arm tops are 0.68 m. The origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0, and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 1,340 triangles in 11 meshes (merged per part and palette colour, with flat normals baked). It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. The exporter clones materials per mesh, so some names appear more than once. Params are baked at their defaults; the other settings only apply when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. bookColours (the kit's 'Book colours') sets the chance that each of the two books on the seat gets a bright cover (brass, warm white) rather than a leather tone (mahogany light, dark wood), from a fixed seed. At the default 0.5, both books are leather. seatWidth sets the inner seat width (overall width 0.78–1.02 m), wingReach sets how far forward the wings sweep, and legHeight raises the chair on its legs. Both param extremes passed three-check. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphens; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 8 ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: duplicate materials from per-mesh export, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, the stacked books' boxes overlapping, and arms, wings, cushions and nailheads flagged as detached because they rest on meshes in other parts. Its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. Fix rounds: (1) exposure lowered to 0.82, (2) the shell changed to forest green dark with lighter forest-green cushions, because a single green read as pastel, (3) the hero framing loosened so the front legs are no longer cropped.
About the Armchairs 3D model
Armchairs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Library and Study set. It measures 88 cm × 1.2 m × 90 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,340 triangles across 11 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 104 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Armchairs 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 104 KB: 1,340 triangles, 4,020 vertices and 11 materials, modelled in metres at 88 cm × 1.2 m × 90 cm.
- Can I animate Armchairs?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Armchairs 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
