Watch room
A low-poly fire station watch room as a roofless brick cutaway. Through the open watch window you see the duty desk with its alarm tape register, telephone and logbook, a brass alarm gong beside a red lamp board, a wall clock, turnout gear on hooks and a red equipment locker.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Watch room for the Fire Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Fire Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Ready for the alarm. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: engine red #c32222, brick #9e3d2e, brass #b28c34, white #f4f1ec, engine red dark #821717, brick dark #63261d, engine red light #db5757, brick light #c66253, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `engineLivery` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Engine livery" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the room is 4.4 m wide (X) × 3.6 m deep (Z) to the outer brick, with 0.25 m walls 3.2 m high, and 3.3 m tall to the top of the coping. The overall bounds are 4.91 × 3.3 × 4.17 m, because the door step and the downpipe stick out. The origin is the centre of the room's floor (not of the bounding box): the +X door step makes the bounds run from x = -2.26 to 2.65. That keeps the walls on a clean grid for kit snapping. It rests on y = 0, and the watch window faces +Z. The room is a deliberate roofless cutaway so the interior reads from above. Every wall is finished on both faces and capped with coping. The front is a 1.05 m counter wall with an open (unglazed) watch window onto the apparatus floor. The exported model has 3,020 triangles in 40 meshes (merged per part and colour). It is static, with no animation clip. All 12 kit colours are used, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name repeats: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. engineLivery (the kit's 'Engine livery') widens the white livery band on the red equipment locker from a 0.08 m pinstripe (0) to 0.95 m (1), and from 0.5 up it also turns the helmet brims white. wallHeight raises the walls and the window header. At 2.8 m the header hides the top of the alarm board in the straight front view. watchPanes sets the number of window panes (1–5), and gearSets sets how many coat, helmet and boot sets hang on the left wall (1–4). Both extremes (livery 1, 2.8 m, 1 pane, 1 set; and livery 0, 3.6 m, 5 panes, 4 sets) pass three-check. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings. The parts it calls 'detached' (mullions on the sill, helmets on brims on the shelf, the outside lamp on its bracket) rest exactly on their supports. Its 3.3 m height warning compares against a generic 1 m reference. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. With the hyphens removed it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 8 survive the GLB reload.
About the Watch room 3D model
Watch room is a free low-poly 3D model from the Fire Station set. It measures 4.9 m × 3.3 m × 4.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,020 triangles across 40 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 245 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Watch room 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 245 KB: 3,020 triangles, 9,060 vertices and 40 materials, modelled in metres at 4.9 m × 3.3 m × 4.2 m.
- Can I animate Watch room?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Watch room 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
