Bay doors
A low-poly fire station engine-bay entrance: a pair of engine-red side-hung doors with glazed upper lights, raised lower panels and a white livery band, set in a brick portal with a white surround, keystone, coping and two red alarm lamps. A baked 8 s loop swings the doors out and shut on their brass hinges.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Bay doors for the Fire Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Fire Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Ready for the alarm. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: engine red #c32222, brick #9e3d2e, brass #b28c34, white #f4f1ec, engine red dark #821717, brick dark #63261d, engine red light #db5757, brick light #c66253, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `engineLivery` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Engine livery" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 4.92 m wide (coping and apron), 5.38 m tall to the parapet coping, a 0.46 m deep wall, with a 3.6 × 4.0 m clear opening; with the doors fully open the footprint reaches about 2.05 m in front of the wall face. Origin at the bottom centre of the portal (the wall is centred on z = 0), resting on y = 0, doors swing toward +Z. Motion: one 8 s seamless clip ('scene-motion'): the left leaf, then the right 0.3 s later, swing out 95° about vertical hinge-pin axes, hold open, swing shut and hold closed. Each leaf node's origin is exactly on its hinge-pin axis (at the jamb, 35 mm proud of the wall face), so the leaves can be re-posed in an engine; portal, apron and lamps never move. The GLB's rest pose is the t = 0 frame, with the doors about 70° and 50° ajar. The GLB has 1,780 triangles in 23 meshes; every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, so recolour by name. engineLivery (the kit's 'Engine livery') sets the depth of the white band across both leaves (0.12 m at 0 to 0.42 m at 1). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults; they change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. The opening is see-through (no interior), so the piece can front an engine-bay building. glb-lint: 0 errors; its warnings are expected (non-indexed meshes from flat shading, sibling overlap from trim on the brick, repeated material names because each part carries its own per-colour mesh, scale vs a 1 m reference). plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.
About the Bay doors 3D model
Bay doors is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Fire Station set. It measures 4.9 m × 5.4 m × 2.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,780 triangles across 23 meshes, with 6 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 156 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Bay doors 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 156 KB: 1,780 triangles, 5,340 vertices and 23 materials, modelled in metres at 4.9 m × 5.4 m × 2.4 m.
- Is Bay doors animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Bay doors 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
