Pallets

A low-poly stack of three EUR-size dark-wood block pallets with yellow-painted corner blocks for the Factory Floor kit. The top pallet is half-filled with machine-green product crates coming off the line.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Pallets for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: each pallet is 1.20 m long (X) × 0.80 m deep (Z) × 0.144 m tall, the EUR/EPAL 1 dimensions, built from 22 mm boards and 78 mm blocks. Crates are 0.38 × 0.36 × 0.30 m, six per layer. At the defaults (3 pallets, productMade 0.5) the asset is about 1.23 × 0.83 × 1.03 m. The two lower pallets are skewed by up to about 2 cm and 1° (seeded, so always the same), which makes the footprint slightly larger than one pallet. The origin is at the bottom centre, the bottom runners rest on y = 0, and the long fork-entry side faces +Z. The GLB has 1,044 triangles in 7 meshes. It is static and has no animation clip. three-check's figure of 1,334 triangles includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and the default build uses 5 of the 12. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on more than one material: recolour by name. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') fills the top pallet one crate at a time, front row first and then layer by layer: 0 is an empty pallet, 0.5 is 9 crates and 1 is 18 crates in three full layers. stackCount sets 1–5 pallets, and stackSkew sets how crooked the empty pallets under the loaded one sit. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. Crate tags are plain colour blocks with no text. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. It also gives 3 expected heuristic warnings: duplicate material names (per-mesh export), non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat facets) and stacked parts overlapping in bounds. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 4 ids. Fix round 1 loosened the hero framing so the bottom pallet is not cropped, and inset the load 3 cm from the deck edge so the pallet rim shows from above.

About the Pallets 3D model

Pallets is a free low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 1.2 m × 1.0 m × 83 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,044 triangles across 7 meshes, with 4 named parts. Download the 80 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Pallets 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 80 KB: 1,044 triangles, 3,132 vertices and 7 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 1.0 m × 83 cm.
Can I animate Pallets?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 4 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Pallets 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
