Mezzanine office

A low-poly factory mezzanine office: a warm-white site cabin with a long dark window band, raised on a 3 m steel deck with yellow guard railings, steel columns with yellow impact guards and a straight side stair to a landing. Pallets of green product crates and a steel shelf are stored under the deck.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Mezzanine office for the Factory Floor kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Factory Floor kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A production hall at full speed. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: machine green #3a883a, safety yellow #ffdd33, concrete #a39e99, steel #7e8c9a, machine green dark #235223, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, machine green light #5db15d, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productMade` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product made" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 7.19 m wide (6.0 m deck plus the 1 m stair and landing on the right), 5.2 m deep including the stair foot, and 6.11 m tall to the top of the rooftop AC unit. The deck walking surface is at 3.0 m with 2.7 m clear headroom under the beams. The office cabin is 4.38 × 2.73 m and 2.5 m tall. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0, and the office windows face +Z. The GLB has 2,840 triangles in 32 meshes and no animation clip; it is a static asset. All 12 kit colours are used, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. deckWidth widens the deck and cabin and adds a column line past about 6.4 m. deckHeight raises the deck, and the stair gains or loses risers, which keeps them at about 0.19 m. officeHeight sets the cabin wall height. productMade (the kit's 'Product made') fills the two under-deck pallets with product crates: 0 leaves them empty, the default puts one layer of 4 on each, and 1 gives two layers on each (16 crates). glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. It also gives 4 heuristic warnings: two about material count (per-mesh materials), one about deliberately nested trim and guard boxes, and one about scale (it expects 1 m; this subject is 6.1 m). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids, all 8 of which survive the GLB reload.

About the Mezzanine office 3D model

Mezzanine office is a free low-poly 3D model from the Factory Floor set. It measures 7.2 m × 6.1 m × 5.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,840 triangles across 32 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 174 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Mezzanine office 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 174 KB: 2,840 triangles, 5,406 vertices and 32 materials, modelled in metres at 7.2 m × 6.1 m × 5.2 m.
Can I animate Mezzanine office?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Mezzanine office 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
