Floating doors

Two freestanding doors on a small cloud island with a black-and-white checker floor: a tall lilac door with a pediment, pushed half open onto empty sky, and a smaller door tipped onto one corner. Low-poly, flat-shaded, and built to the Dream Maze kit palette.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Floating doors for the Dream Maze kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Dream Maze kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stairs that go nowhere and doors in the sky. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: lilac #b89fd1, cream #f1e7d0, checker black and white #f4f1ec, gold #d0a225, lilac dark #916bb8, cream dark #e0c994, lilac light #ded4e8, cream light #fbf9f4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `gravityDirection` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Gravity direction" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Overall size 3.22 m wide × 3.40 m tall × 3.33 m deep; the main door opening is 0.90 m × 2.05 m (frame 1.18 m wide, 2.56 m to the pediment peak) and the side door opening is 0.74 m × 1.85 m. The lowest cloud puff rests on y = 0 and the origin is the island centre. Static model, no animation clip, 2340 triangles. Every material is named for its Dream Maze palette colour (mid grey is not used). gravityDirection tips the side door onto its outer bottom corner: 0 = upright, 0.5 = 16°, 1 = 32°. doorOpen swings the main door inward from 0° to 100°, and doorHeight sets the main opening height. These params are baked into the exported GLB at their default values. Each part node carries its id in its name and in extras.partId. Each part also sits inside an identity-transform group named with a hyphen-free alias (for example dreammazefloatingdoors.main.frame) that the kit's checker needs. glb-lint reported 0 errors. Its warnings are: 16 material slots (the exporter writes one per mesh, covering 11 unique palette names), non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, and the alias wrappers flagged as 'detached' parts.
