Docking ring
A low-poly docking port floor tile for an abandoned space station: a 4 x 4 m plated deck with a raised faceted collar, an iris hatch jammed half-open over a dark shaft, clamp latches, flared guide fins with red beacons and a hazard-striped band. A side console, a vent, a pried-up access hatch and a torn-off latch finish the derelict look.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Docking ring for the Derelict Space Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Derelict Space Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): An abandoned station with failing power. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: gunmetal #454d54, emergency red #c32222, pale green #79af79, black #151619, gunmetal dark #22262a, emergency red dark #821717, gunmetal light #6d7378, emergency red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `powerState` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Power state" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exactly 4.0 m x 4.0 m footprint, 1.25 m tall to the fin beacons (collar top 0.70 m, deck plate top 0.20 m). The docking throat is 1.9 m across and the collar 3.2 m across its base. Ground tile: the origin is at the tile centre on y = 0, the slab is a solid box with flat vertical sides at x = ±2 m and z = ±2 m, and nothing crosses those edges. Deck plates stop 3 cm short of each edge, so neighbouring tiles show one 6 cm seam. Front faces +Z. powerState is the kit's Power state. It sets how many of the 16 throat lamps are lit (warm white) or dead (mid grey) in a fixed seeded order, how strongly the lamps and the green console screen glow, and how hard the red fin beacons burn (brighter at low power). The console status lamp turns green at 0.5 and above. The glow is the material's emissive factor, so it is baked into the GLB, and you need to re-export to change it. hatchOpen swings the 8 iris blades from closed to an opening about 1 m across. collarHeight raises the collar. At 0.3 and above, damage tears one latch off and drops it on the deck. At 0.65 and above it breaks a second latch's hook. It also pries up the front-left access hatch. Static asset with no animation clip. 2032 triangles in the GLB. Every material is named exactly after its palette colour (11 of the 12 kit colours; dark wood is unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the GLB lists 33 material entries that share those 11 names. glb-lint flags this as material-count and duplicate-material warnings, not errors. Its other warnings are heuristics: non-indexed geometry (on purpose, for per-face normals so the facets survive in other engines), deliberate overlaps where the iris blades slide into the collar and the latches and fins sit embedded in it, and plates and lights that rest on other parts rather than the ground. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 warnings. Its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. Part ids use the slug sanitized to derelictspacestationdockingring because the kit's part-id grammar does not allow hyphens.
