How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Warning lights for the Derelict Space Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Derelict Space Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): An abandoned station with failing power. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: gunmetal #454d54, emergency red #c32222, pale green #79af79, black #151619, gunmetal dark #22262a, emergency red dark #821717, gunmetal light #6d7378, emergency red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `powerState` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Power state" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: 0.40 m tall, 0.26 m across the flange flats (0.28 m across corners); origin at the bottom centre, resting on y = 0, status panel facing +Z. 800 triangles, static (no animation clip). powerState (0-1) sets the emissive glow baked into the GLB: the beacon and red lamp scale with power, the green lamp lights from about half power, the white lamp only near full power. The exported file is the default 0.5 state; other values need re-export from the viewer. Materials are named by kit palette colour; the viewer's exporter clones materials per mesh, so 'gunmetal dark', 'gunmetal light' and 'black' each appear on more than one material slot with identical settings (12 slots, 8 colours). Lens and lamp glow uses the optional KHR_materials_emissive_strength extension. Part ids use the hyphen-free slug 'derelictspacestationwarninglights' because the kit's part-id format does not allow hyphens. glb-lint: 0 blocking errors and 4 advisory warnings (material count, duplicate materials, intended nesting of cage/lens/hood bounds, scale versus the 1 m reference). Its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied.
