Harps

A low-poly Cloud Kingdom floor harp: a staved peach soundbox leaning from a stepped stone plinth, a gold-collared forepillar crowned with a sky-blue gem, and a gold-crested harmonic curve over a fan of gold strings. Part of the Cloud Kingdom kit.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Harps for the Cloud Kingdom kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cloud Kingdom kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Castles on clouds at sunrise. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cloud white #f4f1ec, peach #ecb893, sky blue #2e67b8, gold #d0a225, cloud white dark #d7cebc, peach dark #e08d52, cloud white light #f9f8f6, peach light #f6e3d5, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `timeOfDay` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Time of day" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Static prop at default params: 1.81 m tall to the tip of the crown gem (neck top 1.60 m), 0.94 m long (pillar to neck tail, along X) and 0.50 m deep (plinth, along Z). Origin is at the bottom centre and the plinth rests on y = 0. The front (+Z) shows the full strung triangle with the tuning pins; the forepillar is at -X and the soundbox leans up toward +X. 1,628 triangles at default; still well under 6,000 at the maximum (36 strings). Every GLB material is named exactly its Cloud Kingdom palette colour. Normals are baked per face so the facets survive in any engine, which is why the primitives are non-indexed. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so the same palette names repeat (16 material entries, 9 distinct colours); merge by name if your engine prefers. Every seventh string is sky blue, like the coloured C strings on a real harp. harpHeight scales the pillar, neck and soundbox lean; the plinth stays fixed. stringCount spreads 16-36 strings (and their pins) across the same span. soundboxDepth deepens the staved back, and the plinth lengthens to carry its foot. timeOfDay is viewer-only: it swings the sun from low peach dawn to warm-white morning to low peach-dark evening and changes nothing in the GLB. Part ids use the root 'harp' rather than the slug because the kit's part-id grammar does not allow hyphens. Joins are deliberately embedded: the soundbox foot sits 3 cm inside the plinth, its shoulder is buried in the neck, and the strings run into the string band and the neck.
