Pub
A low-poly canal-side village pub: a two-storey brick house under a slate gable roof with a dark-green painted pub frontage, big bar windows and a blue front door. A skittle-alley wing, a hanging sign with a narrowboat picture, a paved beer garden with picnic tables, a horse trough and barrels finish it.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Pub for the Canal and Locks kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Canal and Locks kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Slow boats through green country. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: canal green #3a883a, boat red and blue #2e67b8, brick #9e3d2e, willow #988e81, canal green dark #235223, boat red and blue dark #1f457a, canal green light #5db15d, boat red and blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `waterLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Water level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 16.9 m wide (x, from the sign post to the end of the 4.5 m skittle-alley wing), 11.9 m deep (z, including the 4.8 m beer garden) and 9.59 m tall to the chimney pots (default params). The main block is 10 × 6 m, with eaves at 5.6 m and a 38° roof. The front faces +Z, the origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint and the model rests on y = 0. The GLB has 4,848 triangles in 50 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed), so the facets survive in any engine. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 12 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. There is no text and there are no logos: the fascia is plain, and the sign carries a picture of a narrowboat. Soot-black glass stands in for windows; there are no interiors. waterLevel (the kit's 'Water level') fills the stone horse trough from a puddle to just under the lip. It is the only water in this part: the canal itself belongs to the lock-chamber and towpath pieces. tableCount 1–2 gives one row of tables and a shallower terrace (2.8 m); 3–4 gives two rows (4.8 m). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both param extremes were checked with three-check (PASS, 3.8k–5.3k triangles including the viewer ground). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: material count and duplicate materials (from the per-mesh materials), unindexed geometry (flat shading on purpose), sibling overlap (trims and windows are embedded in walls on purpose) and scale (compared with the direction's 1 m reference). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in this library's slug-based ids. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes.
About the Pub 3D model
Pub is a free low-poly 3D model from the Canal and Locks set. It measures 17 m × 9.6 m × 12 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,848 triangles across 50 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 382 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Pub 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 382 KB: 4,848 triangles, 14,544 vertices and 50 materials, modelled in metres at 17 m × 9.6 m × 12 m.
- Can I animate Pub?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Pub 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
