Dough mixer

A low-poly floor-standing spiral dough mixer with a cream cabinet and cantilevered head, a turning steel bowl of dough, a spiral hook beside a breaker bar and a hinged wire guard. Its 8 s loop closes the guard, turns the bowl and hook, then runs down and lifts the guard again.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Dough mixer for the Bakery and Patisserie kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Bakery and Patisserie kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Warm ovens and glass counters. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cream #f1e7d0, pastry gold #d0a225, rose #cc6680, chocolate brown #6b4a2e, cream dark #e0c994, pastry gold dark #8f7019, cream light #fbf9f4, pastry gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productRange` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product range" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

  • Plinth, cabinet and column
  • Head, controls and breaker bar
  • Bowl and dough
  • Spiral hook
  • Bowl guard

Note: Size: 0.51 m wide × 0.83 m deep × 1.05 m tall, about a 30 L bakery spiral mixer; the bowl is 0.42 m across and 0.26 m deep. Origin is at the bottom centre of the plinth on y = 0, and the front (bowl and guard) faces +Z. The GLB has 1,684 triangles in 17 meshes, merged per part and palette colour with flat normals. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour; the exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so some names repeat. It carries one 8 s clip, 'scene-motion': the guard swings down about its hinge pin (X axis) under the head nose, the bowl turns 3 times about its own vertical axis while the hook spins 12 times the other way about its shaft, both ease to rest, and the guard lifts open, so the loop is seamless. The plinth, cabinet, column and head never move. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build: productRange 0.5 gives a brioche dough (pastry gold light). productRange picks the dough colour in four steps: warm white < 0.25 ≤ cream < 0.5 ≤ pastry gold light < 0.75 ≤ chocolate brown. bowlSize and doughFill keep the hook, breaker bar and guard clear of the bowl across their ranges. The hook and breaker bar pass through the dough by design. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors, and its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract is supplied. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: duplicated per-mesh materials, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested trims overlapping, and one moving part flagged as detached.

About the Dough mixer 3D model

Dough mixer is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Bakery and Patisserie set. It measures 58 cm × 1.1 m × 86 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,684 triangles across 17 meshes, with 6 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 149 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Dough mixer 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 149 KB: 1,684 triangles, 5,052 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 58 cm × 1.1 m × 86 cm.
Is Dough mixer animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Dough mixer 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
