How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Trays for the Bakery and Patisserie kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Bakery and Patisserie kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Warm ovens and glass counters. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cream #f1e7d0, pastry gold #d0a225, rose #cc6680, chocolate brown #6b4a2e, cream dark #e0c994, pastry gold dark #8f7019, cream light #fbf9f4, pastry gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productRange` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product range" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.47 m long × 0.34 m deep × 0.076 m tall (half-sheet pans, 0.46 × 0.33 m plus the rolled rim; 0.026 m pan height). The origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0 and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 696 triangles in 9 meshes, merged per part and palette colour and counted from the GLB accessors. Static: there is no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its Bakery and Patisserie palette colour, and the model uses 8 of the 12. three.js's exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build: 4 trays, half sheet, 9 of 12 slots. productRange (the kit's Product range setting) fills the top pan from half its slots (croissants and rose-iced buns) to every slot, and adds pains au chocolat from 0.5 up. It fills from the front row back. trayCount nests 2–6 pans on a 13 mm pitch, with each pan's underside corner seated on the inner wall of the pan below it. sheetSize grows the pans from a half sheet to a full sheet (0.66 × 0.46 m), and the pastry grid grows with it (up to 24 pastries). Both param extremes passed three-check: 0 / 2 / 0 gives 444 GLB triangles and 1 / 6 / 1 gives 1,500. plan-check's part-id pattern rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated with the hyphens removed (PASS) and is otherwise unchanged. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: duplicate material names, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested pans and pastries overlapping as sibling boxes, the top pan, parchment and toppings flagged as detached because what they rest on is a separate part, and a scale check that assumes a 1 m reference object.

About the Trays 3D model

Trays is a free low-poly 3D model from the Bakery and Patisserie set. It measures 47 cm × 8 cm × 34 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 696 triangles across 9 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 57 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Trays 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 57 KB: 696 triangles, 2,088 vertices and 9 materials, modelled in metres at 47 cm × 8 cm × 34 cm.
Can I animate Trays?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Trays 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
