Stepped pyramid
A low-poly Aztec temple pyramid in the manner of Tenochtitlan's Templo Mayor: four battered stone tiers, a steep twin staircase with serpent-headed balustrades, and twin shrines on the summit, one striped turquoise for Tlaloc and one feather red for Huitzilopochtli.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Stepped pyramid for the Aztec Temple City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Aztec Temple City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A city on a lake with stepped pyramids. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: stone grey #757e8a, turquoise #31c4b8, feather red #c32222, jade #389475, stone grey dark #525860, turquoise dark #22877e, stone grey light #a3a5a8, turquoise light #6dd5cc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `carvingColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Carving colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 53 m wide (X) × 59.2 m deep (Z, including the projecting staircase and serpent heads) × 39.1 m tall to the shrine merlons. The summit platform is 26 m up and 30.6 × 25.6 m across, on a 0.6 m base course; the pyramid body is 50 × 46 m at its foot. The origin is at the bottom centre of the base course, which rests on y = 0, and the stairs face +Z (footprint z = -24.5 to +34.7, so the visual mass sits slightly behind the origin). The GLB has 2,736 triangles in 22 meshes. It is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour; at the default 9 of the 12 colours are used (jade appears only through carvingColour 0.6–0.8; turquoise dark and mid grey are unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials; recolour by name. carvingColour (the kit's 'Carving colour' knob) paints the serpent heads and the dado caps at the stair head in steps: stone grey light (bare) below 0.2, turquoise light to 0.4, turquoise to 0.6 (default), jade to 0.8, feather red from 0.8. tiers (3–5), pyramidHeight (summit platform height) and baseWidth reshape the pyramid; the summit and shrines keep their size. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. The default was fully checked, and the steep extreme (5 tiers, 32 m, 42 m base, carving 1) passed a spot check. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 warnings, all expected — duplicate same-named materials from the per-mesh export (22 materials, over the direction's 10), deliberately non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, nested sibling meshes (terrace bands around tier tops, stripes on walls), the sacrificial stone flagged 'detached' because it stands on the tiers part rather than a sibling, and a 39 m height against the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids.
About the Stepped pyramid 3D model
Stepped pyramid is a free low-poly 3D model from the Aztec Temple City set. It measures 53 m × 39 m × 59 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,736 triangles across 22 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 211 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Stepped pyramid 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 211 KB: 2,736 triangles, 8,208 vertices and 22 materials, modelled in metres at 53 m × 39 m × 59 m.
- Can I animate Stepped pyramid?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Stepped pyramid 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
