Drum beat animation
A low-poly Aztec huehuetl drum on a stepped stone plinth, beaten in a seamless 2-second loop by two rubber-headed mallet arms hinged on an axle in a small stone gateway with a red-banded lintel and stepped temple crest.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Drum beat animation for the Aztec Temple City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Aztec Temple City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A city on a lake with stepped pyramids. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: stone grey #757e8a, turquoise #31c4b8, feather red #c32222, jade #389475, stone grey dark #525860, turquoise dark #22877e, stone grey light #a3a5a8, turquoise light #6dd5cc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `carvingColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Carving colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.96 m wide × 1.00 m deep × 1.51 m tall. The stone plinth is 0.13 m high, the huehuetl stands 0.9 m on it and is 0.44 m across, and the gateway's axle sits 0.15 m above the skin. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the bottom centre and the front (+Z) faces the drum. The GLB has 1,476 triangles in 27 meshes. It carries one 2 s seamless clip, 'scene-motion'. Each mallet arm turns about X on the axle line (its node sits exactly on the axle), and the right arm strikes half a beat after the left. The plinth, drum and gateway never move. The static node pose in the GLB is the t = 2 s pose (left mallet on the skin, right mallet raised), because three-check exports after its determinism seek. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (9 of the 12; turquoise dark, turquoise light and mid grey are unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat; recolour by name. carvingColour (the kit "Carving colour" setting) picks the colour of the drum's carved panels and the gateway post carvings in five steps: stone grey light, turquoise, jade (default), feather red, warm white. drumHeight raises the drum, axle and gateway together, and beatLift sets how high the mallets rise. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors, 5 expected warnings (per-mesh materials over the direction default of 10, duplicate per-mesh materials, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested carvings and post blocks, and a bounding-box 'detached' heuristic for parts that sit on or inside other parts). Its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all ids. The ground disc in the preview is viewer staging and is not in the GLB.
About the Drum beat animation 3D model
Drum beat animation is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Aztec Temple City set. It measures 96 cm × 1.5 m × 1.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,476 triangles across 27 meshes, with 11 named parts and a baked animation (2.0 s). Download the 144 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Drum beat animation 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 144 KB: 1,476 triangles, 4,428 vertices and 27 materials, modelled in metres at 96 cm × 1.5 m × 1.0 m.
- Is Drum beat animation animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (2.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Drum beat animation 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
