Claw arm
A free-standing low-poly arcade claw crane: a heavy neon-banded pedestal, a swivelling mast and purple boom, and a three-prong claw on a hoist cable. It loops an 8-second grab cycle: swivel out, drop, grip, lift, swing home and release.

Left rail: colours and the 5 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Claw arm for the Arcade kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Arcade kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Screens glowing in a dark room. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, neon purple #9123c7, cyan #20c6df, hot pink #f589ad, black dark #090a0b, neon purple dark #611886, black light #3a3c40, neon purple light #b15bdc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.08 m tall to the top of the boom beacon, 0.42 m across the octagonal pedestal (0.21 m radius), and about 0.83 m deep at rest, from the counterweight at -Z to the open claw at +Z. The boom faces +Z (front). The origin is at the bottom centre and the pedestal rests on y = 0. The claw is 0.34 m across when fully open. The GLB has 780 triangles in 36 meshes. Pivots: the turret swivels about the pedestal's vertical axis. The cable hangs from a point under the hoist and sways about it. The claw head slides down the cable, and the cable scales from that same hang point so it always meets the claw cap. Each prong hinges about its knuckle on the hub rim. The base never moves. Baked clip 'scene-motion' (8 s, seamless): swivel 46° out, drop, grip, lift, swivel home, release, with a small pendulum sway after each swivel. The GLB's static node pose is the 2 s frame (swivelled out, claw open), because the checker exports after seeking; play the clip to reach the home pose. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. At the default era, 11 of the 12 colours are used; dark wood appears only when era < 0.4. Era (the kit's 'Era' knob): below 0.4 the pedestal foot is dark wood and the prongs are mid grey (retro); from 0.4 up the foot is black dark and the prongs are warm white. The cyan and neon purple light glow strength rises with era (emissive 0.08 at era 0 to 0.48 at era 1, carried by KHR_materials_emissive_strength). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. They change the model only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. The drop is clamped so the prong tips stay at least 4 cm off the floor. At short reaches, where the open claw would overhang the pedestal, the drop stops above the pedestal top instead. Two extreme sets passed three-check and were looked at: mastHeight 0.6 / reach 0.32 / 4 prongs / drop 0.5 / era 0, and mastHeight 1.0 / reach 0.55 / 3 prongs / drop 0.5 / era 1. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings. Two come from the per-mesh materials (material count and duplicates). One flags overlaps where the neon band, claw ring and joint knuckles are deliberately nested. One flags parts as 'detached' because the collar, mast, beacon and cable each sit in their own group. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects the hyphens in the slug-based part ids this library requires. With the ids substituted (arcadeclawarm.*) it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 12 survive the GLB reload. The viewer's stage disc, light rig and cyan rim light are outside the export scope.
About the Claw arm 3D model
Claw arm is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Arcade set. It measures 66 cm × 1.1 m × 64 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 780 triangles across 36 meshes, with 12 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 120 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Claw arm 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 120 KB: 780 triangles, 1,480 vertices and 36 materials, modelled in metres at 66 cm × 1.1 m × 64 cm.
- Is Claw arm animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Claw arm 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
