Cabinets in eight types
A low-poly arcade video-game cabinet: a classic 1.8 m upright with a glowing cyan screen, hot-pink marquee, neon-purple control deck with two joysticks, a lit coin door and black side panels edged in purple T-molding. In the viewer one knob rebuilds it as any of eight cabinet types, from cocktail table to driving sit-down.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Cabinets in eight types for the Arcade kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Arcade kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Screens glowing in a dark room. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, neon purple #9123c7, cyan #20c6df, hot pink #f589ad, black dark #090a0b, neon purple dark #611886, black light #3a3c40, neon purple light #b15bdc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `era` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Era" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size of the shipped default (classic upright, era 0.5): 0.68 m wide (X) x 1.83 m tall x 0.79 m deep (Z) including the control panel overhang. The origin is at the bottom centre, it rests on y = 0 and the front faces +Z. 1,004 triangles, 23 meshes, no textures, no animation. The GLB carries the default upright only. cabinetType (0-7) rebuilds the model in the viewer as an upright, cabaret (mini), cocktail table, candy sit-down, driving sit-down with seat, wheel, shifter and pedals, light-gun with two guns, four-player wide, or bartop (0.62 m tall, made to stand on a counter). era and width also rebuild only in the viewer. All eight types and both era extremes were rendered and checked. The heaviest type, four-player, measures about 1,350 model triangles, far under the 6,000 budget. Era goes from 1980s at 0 (dark-wood sides, black trim, deep tube back, small 4:3 screen in a thick bezel) to modern at 1 (slim back, wide 16:9 screen, cyan LED T-molding). Every material is named exactly after its Arcade kit palette colour, so you can recolour by material name. The exporter writes one material per mesh (23) that share 11 names (dark wood appears only below era 0.25). The screen and marquee glow through a low flat emissive with no bloom; turn on bloom in your engine for a halo. Front parts are separate meshes sunk 1 mm into the body, so there are no gaps and no coplanar faces. Normals are flat per face, which is intended. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its 5 warnings are all heuristic: material count, duplicate material names, non-indexed (flat-shaded) primitives, nested parts overlapping their parent's bounds, and 3 parts flagged as detached. Those 3 (speaker, marquee, control front) are embedded in the body, which sits in a different assembly group. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. The kit's plan schema rejects hyphens in part ids, so the four assembly groups use cabinet.* ids, and the meshes use the library's arcade-cabinets-in-eight-types.* ids. The viewer eases the room-environment fill so the neon purple does not wash toward pink. That affects only the viewer; the GLB carries the exact palette colours.
About the Cabinets in eight types 3D model
Cabinets in eight types is a free low-poly 3D model from the Arcade set. It measures 67 cm × 1.8 m × 79 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,004 triangles across 23 meshes, with 28 named parts. Download the 121 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Cabinets in eight types 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 121 KB: 1,004 triangles, 3,012 vertices and 23 materials, modelled in metres at 67 cm × 1.8 m × 79 cm.
- Can I animate Cabinets in eight types?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 28 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Cabinets in eight types 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
