Touch pool
A low-poly aquarium touch pool: a waist-high deep-blue tank with a wide warm-white leaning ledge and framed viewing windows, holding shallow water with grey rocks that carry starfish, sea urchins and anemones. A wooden step at the front lets children reach in.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Touch pool for the Aquarium kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Aquarium kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Glass tunnels through blue water. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: deep blue #1b447e, coral orange #ed7e1d, glow green #3a883a, dark grey #525860, deep blue dark #0d223f, coral orange dark #af590e, deep blue light #2e67b8, coral orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `seaRegion` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sea region" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: 2.48 m long × 1.73 m deep (1.48 m tank plus the 0.29 m front step) × 0.80 m to the leaning ledge, and 0.92 m to the tips of the seagrass. Units are metres, +Y is up, and the front (the side with the step) faces +Z. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint on y = 0, so the tank's own centre sits 0.125 m behind the origin. The model has 1392 triangles and is static (no animation clip). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. The GLB exporter clones one material per mesh, so the file holds 13 materials that share 8 colour names (recolour by name). The water and the viewing-window panes are opaque flat surfaces in the water colour: the direction does no transparency, so you cannot see into the tank through the windows. Rocks and seagrass are deliberately embedded through the water surface, and the band, frames, step and toe kick are embedded 1–2 cm into the wall. seaRegion recolours only (no geometry change): 0–0.33 is tropical shallows (mid grey rocks, coral orange light anemones), 0.33–0.67 is temperate coast (the default: dark grey rocks, glow green anemones), and 0.67–1 is cold deep water (deep blue dark walls, deep blue water, coral orange dark starfish, warm white anemones). poolLength sets the rock count (4–7 large rocks plus pebbles), creatures spreads 3–12 animals across the rock tops, and any count of 3 or more includes all three species. The layout is seeded and deterministic. glb-lint reported 0 errors and 4 advisory warnings: material count above the direction's 10, cloned duplicate materials, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, and the deliberate nested overlaps. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED (exit 2) only because no requirements contract was supplied.
About the Touch pool 3D model
Touch pool is a free low-poly 3D model from the Aquarium set. It measures 2.5 m × 92 cm × 1.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,392 triangles across 13 meshes, with 17 named parts. Download the 146 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Touch pool 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 146 KB: 1,392 triangles, 4,176 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 2.5 m × 92 cm × 1.7 m.
- Can I animate Touch pool?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 17 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Touch pool 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
