Covered bridge

A low-poly timber covered bridge on stone abutments for the Alchemist's Quarter: plaster knee panels, an open post-and-gap window band, a pitched teal roof with copper trim, and open portals at both ends.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Covered bridge for the Alchemist's Quarter kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Alchemist's Quarter kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A narrow street of workshops and odd shops. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: timber brown #6b4a2e, plaster cream #f1e7d0, teal #2d8686, copper #b8602e, timber brown dark #362517, plaster cream dark #e0c994, timber brown light #9b704b, plaster cream light #fbf9f4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `leanOfTheBuildings` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Lean of the buildings" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Approx 3.0 m wide x 4.05 m tall x 6.6 m long at the default 6 m span. The bridge snaps on a 1 m grid: `span` is whole metres (4-8), the origin sits at the bottom centre of the snapping end face (z = 0) and the model runs +Z, resting on y = 0 at the two abutment footings. Front faces +Z (the far portal). `leanOfTheBuildings` tilts only the superstructure (walls, portals, roof); deck, arch chords and abutments stay anchored. Static asset, no clip. Exported GLB carries 7 materials named exactly after palette colours (per-part merged meshes, 23 draw calls). glb-lint's sibling-overlap warnings are intentional embedded timber joinery, and its detached/scale heuristics flag the ridge-mounted copper trim and the 4 m real-world height respectively. Requires the same requirements.json contract to reproduce the lint verdict.
