Hand cart

A two-wheeled timber hand cart parked on its prop legs, loaded with a crate, barrel, grain sack and canvas roll, with a soot-iron lantern hung off the tail board. Built for the Alchemist's Quarter kit in flat low-poly style.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Hand cart for the Alchemist's Quarter kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Alchemist's Quarter kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A narrow street of workshops and odd shops. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: timber brown #6b4a2e, plaster cream #f1e7d0, teal #2d8686, copper #b8602e, timber brown dark #362517, plaster cream dark #e0c994, timber brown light #9b704b, plaster cream light #fbf9f4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `leanOfTheBuildings` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Lean of the buildings" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world scale for a one-person market cart: ~2.8 m long over the shafts, ~1.05 m wide over the wheels, ~1.05 m tall, wheel diameter 0.92 m; metres throughout, origin at bottom centre, front (+Z) is the shaft end. Baked clip 'scene-motion' (6 s, seamless): the body pivots about the real axle as the cart lifts onto its wheels, the wheels turn exactly one revolution while lifted, then it settles back onto the prop legs; the lantern pendulum-swings on its hook. The base never translates and every pivot sits on its hinge/axle. The GLB snapshot pose is mid-loop (t=2); t=0 is the parked rest pose. leanOfTheBuildings lists the cargo stack up to ~5° like the quarter's leaning buildings; loadAmount gates cargo pieces (sack ≥0.35, barrel ≥0.55, canvas roll ≥0.85). All materials are flat-shaded, metalness 0, roughness 0.9-1.0, no textures, and named after palette colours; the exporter writes one material instance per mesh so the GLB carries repeated copies of the same nine palette-named materials (dedupe by name if needed). glb-lint warnings are benign: non-indexed primitives are the deliberate flat facets, sibling overlaps are the nested rim/tyre/nave of each wheel, and the grounding warning is a bounding-box corner artefact of the spinning tyre in the mid-loop export pose — vertex-level bounds confirm no geometry below y=0.
