Water tank
A low-poly scrap water tank for a wasteland outpost: a rusted, banded steel drum with a tin cone roof on a braced timber stand, with a side ladder and an outlet pipe and tap dripping into a barrel. It is a 4 × 4 m ground tile that butts seamlessly against its neighbours.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Water tank for the Wasteland Outpost kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Wasteland Outpost kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A scrap fort in a dead land. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: dust brown #6b4a2e, rust #9b4427, faded yellow #dbc970, grey #757e8a, dust brown dark #362517, rust dark #5e2917, dust brown light #9b704b, rust light #c96645, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `decayLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Decay level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exact 4.00 × 4.00 m ground tile (x and z −2 to +2), 5.56 m tall to the vent cap; drum 2.2 m across and 2.1 m tall on a 2.2 m timber stand. Origin at the tile centre on y = 0; front (tap and barrel) faces +Z, ladder on +X. The tile is a flat 0.08 m slab with straight vertical edges and nothing overhangs it, so its top sits at y = 0.08 — neighbouring kit ground pieces should share that thickness to tile flush. 1828 triangles, static, no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (11 of the 12 colours; warm white is unused); the exporter writes one material per mesh, so a name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The GLB is baked at default params; standHeight, tankHeight, tankRadius and decayLevel only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. decayLevel (kit 'Decay level') adds seeded patch plates and rust streaks, knocks pieces out of the hazard band, removes deck planks and ladder rungs, drops one back brace above 0.55 and leans the drum slightly; the same value always builds the same tank. glb-lint: 0 errors, 5 heuristic warnings (100 materials vs the direction default of 10 because of per-mesh materials, duplicate-named materials, intended overlaps where braces cross girts and hoops wrap the drum, the two ladder standoffs flagged as detached because they bolt to the drum in another group, height above the direction's 1 m reference). The kit's plan-check rejects hyphens in part ids, so design-plan.md fails plan-check only on the slug-based ids this library requires; with the ids substituted it passes, and three-check accepts them and all 9 ids survive the GLB reload.
About the Water tank 3D model
Water tank is a free low-poly 3D model from the Wasteland Outpost set. It measures 4.0 m × 5.6 m × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,828 triangles across 100 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 243 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Water tank 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 243 KB: 1,828 triangles, 3,500 vertices and 100 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 5.6 m × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Water tank?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Water tank 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
