Tube corridors

A low-poly pressurised connector tube for a sea-floor research base: an octagonal white hull on steel saddles, deep-blue hoop ribs, framed aqua windows and yellow docking collars at both open ends, with a walkway deck you can see straight through.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Tube corridors for the Underwater Research Dome kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Underwater Research Dome kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A science base on the sea floor. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: deep blue #1b447e, aqua #47d1d1, yellow #eecd2b, white #f4f1ec, deep blue dark #0d223f, aqua dark #29a3a3, deep blue light #2e67b8, aqua light #88dddd, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `depthAndLight` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Depth and light" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Approx 3.2 m wide (across collar bolts) x 3.63 m tall x 6.24 m long at the default 6 m hull length; hull is 2.6 m across flats with a 0.1 m wall and ~1.95 m headroom over the deck. Tube axis runs along Z, front (+Z) is a docking collar; origin at bottom centre and only the saddle foot pads touch y = 0. Both ends are open so it can dock between domes. Part ids use the root `tubecorridors` because the kit's part-id checker does not allow hyphens. `bays` is clamped on short tubes so every bay keeps a window (e.g. a 4 m tube holds at most 3 bays). `depthAndLight` only raises the emissive glow of the windows, floor light strips and marker lamps (exported as emissiveFactor) and does not change geometry. Static asset, no animation clip. 1422 triangles at default settings. The GLB has 16 material entries because the runtime exporter clones one material per mesh, but they cover only the 10 palette colours and each carries its exact palette name. glb-lint returns 0 errors (its overall verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied) with heuristic warnings only: intended nesting of collar/flange and window plate/pane, the hull/ribs/deck counted as not touching the ground (they rest on the saddles), unindexed flat-shaded geometry, and a height/scale note because this is a 3.6 m structure.
