Bubbling vents
A low-poly cluster of sea-floor vents: a faceted dark rock mound with three grey mineral chimneys whose glowing aqua mouths release rising columns of bubbles, beside a yellow current-meter stake. Bubbles rise and the meter's cups spin in a seamless 4-second loop.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Bubbling vents for the Underwater Research Dome kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Underwater Research Dome kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A science base on the sea floor. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: deep blue #1b447e, aqua #47d1d1, yellow #eecd2b, white #f4f1ec, deep blue dark #0d223f, aqua dark #29a3a3, deep blue light #2e67b8, aqua light #88dddd, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `depthAndLight` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Depth and light" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 1.85 m across the rock mound, main chimney 0.95 m tall, meter stake 1.5 m to the beacon, 1.68 m tall including the highest bubble at t=0; origin at bottom centre, mound base on y = 0, front faces +Z. 1462 triangles. Every material is named after its kit palette colour (10 colours; aqua and dark wood unused). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials; recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (4 s, seamless) moves only the bubbles (rise, sway, grow and shrink to near zero at each end, whole cycles per loop) and the meter rotor (two full turns on its axle). The mound, boulders, chimneys and stake never move. Bubbles are deliberately free-floating, so glb-lint's detached-parts warning names them. Params are baked into the GLB at their default values: depthAndLight sets the glow strength of the vent mouths and meter beacon; chimneyHeight, ventCount and bubbleCount change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt. glb-lint: 0 errors, 5 heuristic warnings (material count, duplicate per-mesh materials, non-indexed flat-shaded primitives, intended chimney/lip/band nesting, floating bubbles). Plan-check: its part-id pattern rejects hyphens, so the library's required hyphenated slug ids fail that one rule; no other plan errors.
About the Bubbling vents 3D model
Bubbling vents is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Underwater Research Dome set. It measures 1.7 m × 1.7 m × 1.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,462 triangles across 44 meshes, with 11 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 233 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Bubbling vents 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 233 KB: 1,462 triangles, 2,343 vertices and 44 materials, modelled in metres at 1.7 m × 1.7 m × 1.7 m.
- Is Bubbling vents animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Bubbling vents 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
