How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Tháp Trầm Hương (the Agarwood Tower), the landmark on the April 2 Square seafront in Nha Trang, Vietnam (architect Lê Thanh Tùng, opened 2008), as an elegant, polished architectural model. Four reference photos are in `reference/` (ref1–ref4.jpg) — open and study them before planning; the silhouette must match them and be recognisable at a glance. (Older photos show it salmon-pink; it is now white — model it white.) The form is a tall, slender CLOSED LOTUS BUD in two stages — not stacked floors, drums or tiers, and not an open lattice: 1. Lower bud (about the bottom 60% of the height): FIVE large petal shells arranged around a pentagonal plan, each a smooth, slightly convex, blade-like shell that rises from the base, swells gently and tapers to a sharp pointed tip, the tips curving very slightly outward. Between every pair of petals runs a tall, narrow, pointed-arch (lancet) glazed slot of deep blue glass, almost full height, with thin mullions and floor bands visible through the glass. 2. Upper bud (the top ~40%): rising out of the centre of the lower bud, a narrower second bud of five smaller pointed petals with blue lancet glazing between them, closing to a single tall pointed tip — the "spiritual bud", about 4.5 m wide and 9 m tall, hollow, with a warm amber glow inside it. Overall about 27 m tall and about 11 m wide across the lower petals; the read is vertical, slender and soaring. The base: a raised plinth (about 1.2 m) with wide shallow steps and a low parapet, set in a pentagonal plaza with granite paving, flower beds, a few palm trees at the edges, and FIVE large stylised sea-wave sculptures (about 4 m tall, chunky rounded curling waves, white) placed around the tower as in the photos. A small shallow fountain pool at the entrance is welcome. Make it refined and restrained: proportion and smooth curvature matter more than ornament. Spend the triangle budget on what makes it look polished — perfectly smooth, densely tessellated double-curved petal shells (no visible faceting at close orbit), crisp sharp petal tips with soft bevelled edges, deep reveals where the glass meets the petals, thin mullions, the parapet, paving joints and the sculpted wave curls. Materials, all named: warm architectural white (satin) for the petals, a slightly brighter polished white for the petal edges and wave sculptures, deep blue tinted glass (slightly reflective), warm grey granite for plinth and paving, lawn green, turquoise water, and an emissive warm amber glow inside the upper bud. No text, logos or signage. Motion: a calm, seamless 16 s baked loop — the amber light inside the upper bud breathes slowly and the fountain jets rise and fall softly. The building itself stays still. Hard requirement: the exported GLB must contain between 1,000,000 and 1,100,000 triangles — measure it before delivering and adjust tessellation and detail density to land in that band; outside it the delivery is rejected. Keep the GLB under 45 MB: index all geometry, instance or merge repeated parts by material, no image textures. Before delivering, compare your hero capture side by side with the reference photos and fix the silhouette if it does not match.

Note: Stylised architectural reconstruction from the supplied photographs, not a surveyed replica. The seamless 16-second clip scales an emissive amber interior core and fountain jets; no light nodes are exported. Parameters remix the procedural source; the downloadable GLB contains the default geometry. OBJ export is geometry only. The plaza, landscaping and waves belong to the model; the viewer’s ground catcher and light rig do not.
