Cầu Thị Nại, Bình Định

A gently humped concrete bridge crosses a blue-green lagoon on twin-column piers, with fishing boats and peninsula hills. Two cars cross the deck while the boats bob in a baked ten-second loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

The Thị Nại Bridge (2006), a 2.48 km sea-crossing bridge linking Quy Nhơn to the Phương Mai peninsula over Thị Nại lagoon. Model a characteristic stretch: the prestressed concrete box-girder deck (14.5 m wide, with guardrails and slender lamp posts) carried on twin-column piers, rising to a gently humped, taller navigation span in the middle; approach spans continuing to both ends of the diorama; calm blue-green lagoon water with fishing boats under the spans; hills of the peninsula behind. Loop (10 s): a couple of small cars drive across and the boats bob. Make it a polished, elegant model in the stylised-PBR direction: clean proportions, smooth curvature, soft bevels on every edge, crisp silhouettes and a restrained palette of named materials (name each material for what it is, e.g. "limestone", "red lacquer", "glazed roof tile", "sea water"); every material in the exported GLB must carry that name — set `material.name` on each one, because an unnamed material fails review. It must be recognisable at a glance as the real place. No text, lettering, logos or signage anywhere. There are no reference photos for this one: follow the description closely. Natural sites and large complexes are presented as a tabletop diorama on a clean rounded plinth with slate-grey sides; state the real-world scale and the diorama scale in meta.notes. Hard requirement: the exported GLB must contain AT LEAST 150,000 triangles (target 200,000–350,000) — measure it before delivering. Spend the budget on real modelled detail (roof tiles, carvings, railings, mouldings, rock strata, foliage clusters, water surface, boats), never on invisible subdivision. Keep the GLB under 25 MB: index all geometry, instance repeated parts, no image textures.

Note: Units are metres, +Y is up and the foreground faces +Z. The bottom-centred 1.86 × 0.92 m tabletop plinth rests at y=0; height is approximately 0.183 m. The real 2006 bridge is 2.48 km long and 14.5 m wide. This interpretive diorama models a representative 440 m stretch at 1:250; the deck width is 0.058 m. It is not a survey reconstruction or a model of the entire bridge. The navigation hump and peninsula relief are stylised. Cars scale down at the cropped approaches to conceal loop resets; boat motion uses rigid transforms, and water relief is static. The three parameters rebuild the authored scene; the GLB contains the default geometry and baked motion, not procedural controls. Repeated rail fittings export using core glTF mesh reuse, with no required extensions or image textures. Eleven named materials are shared. Lint reports five nonblocking style/spatial warnings; the dense triangle budget and palette are declared direction overrides, and assembly overlaps were visually reviewed.
