Subway Busker
A hand-painted young woman busking mid-song, eyes turned up, in a rust knit beanie, an oversized sherpa-collared denim jacket, a cream floral dress and rust lace-up boots, carrying a ukulele by its neck. Rigged on the shared Mixamo-named skeleton in T-pose, ready for retargeted clips.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
A woman, 20s, petite, about 1.58 m tall. Singing, eyes up expression. Wearing: beanie, oversized denim jacket, floral dress, boots (plain fabrics, no logos, brand names or readable text). Palette: Denim blue, rust, cream. Prop: ukulele, carried naturally and bound to the hand or arm bone that holds it. Hand-painted style. The rig test is judged by eye from dist/rig-test.png: in the bent pose every limb, sleeve and the prop must stay attached and deform with the body — verify the capture visually before reporting PASS.

Note: 8,790 triangles and 25 bones: the Mixamo body chain, no finger bones. The hands are mittens on mixamorig:LeftHand and mixamorig:RightHand, with the right hand closed in a fist. Bones point +Y down the bone toward the child joint and keep +Z forward where they can (feet and toes keep +Z up), so retarget clips by bone name rather than copying raw Mixamo rotations. The file has 7 skinned meshes. Each has its own glTF skin, but all of them use the same 25 joints. Every vertex has at most 4 influences, normalised. The whole jacket is skinned to that skeleton; nothing on it is static. The jacket body follows the spine, and each sleeve takes the same Shoulder → Arm → ForeArm weights as the arm skin modelled under it, blended over a 12 cm band at the elbow. The rolled cuffs reach the wrist and are weighted to ForeArm, handing over to Hand. The ukulele (subway-busker.prop) is weighted 100% to mixamorig:RightHand, and the hair and beanie are 100% mixamorig:Head. The dress and the jacket hem share their weights between Hips and both UpLeg bones, so they follow a raised thigh and stretch a little between the legs on wide strides. Every material samples one 2048 px painted colour texture (JPEG in the GLB) that has light and shadow painted in, so it still reads with unlit shaders. There are no normal or roughness maps. The jacket and dress materials are double-sided. Body height is 1.58 m from soles to crown; the overall bounds are 1.64 m with the beanie. No clips, and no text or logos. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 2 heuristic warnings: the materials share identical PBR values by design because the colour lives in the texture, and the clothing boxes nest. Its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. Rig test pose: arms down 70°, forearms bent 90°, left thigh forward 45°, Spine1 twisted 20°. Every vertex stays finite and max edge stretch is 1.9×. Every arm-weighted sleeve vertex stays within 3 mm of its rest distance from the posed arm bones or folds inward at the inner elbow and underarm. Rays cast from the posed upper arm and forearm hit the sleeve on all sides, the elbows keep 73% of their sleeve clearance, and the ukulele drifts 6.5e-8 m in hand space. Four fix rounds: three during the build, plus one review fix that rebuilt the sleeves and cuffs to wrap the bent arms.
About the Subway Busker 3D model
Subway Busker is a free low-poly 3D model from the City and office characters set, rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton. It measures 1.7 m × 1.6 m × 51 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 8,790 triangles across 7 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 1001 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Subway Busker 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 1001 KB: 8,790 triangles, 5,445 vertices and 7 materials, modelled in metres at 1.7 m × 1.6 m × 51 cm.
- Is Subway Busker animated?
- It ships without a baked clip, in its bind pose. It is rigged with a 25-bone Mixamo-compatible skeleton, so it takes retargeted animation.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Subway Busker 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
