Fire flicker
A low-poly Stone Age campfire: a ring of faceted dark stones round a soot-black ash bed with glowing embers, a teepee of charred split wood, and a crown of ochre flame tongues round a warm-white core. The flames flicker on a seamless 4-second loop while the hearth stays still.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Fire flicker for the Stone Age Camp kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Stone Age Camp kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Hide tents at the edge of the ice. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: hide tan #bf9769, ochre #bd8728, charcoal #34383d, moss #55743e, hide tan dark #9a7142, ochre dark #7e5a1b, hide tan light #d2bca2, ochre light #d6a95c, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `climateIceOrForest` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Climate (ice or forest)" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults is about 1.17 m wide (x, including the moss tufts) × 1.09 m deep (z) × 0.67 m tall (y) to the flame tip. The stone ring is about 1.0 m across. The origin is at the bottom centre and the model rests on y = 0, with stone and stick feet clipped flat. The GLB has 1,816 triangles in 16 meshes and one 4 s loop clip, 'scene-motion'. Each flame part (main flame, core, five tongues) sways and stretches about its own root in the ash mound, using rotation plus a volume-preserving scale. The main flame and the core also spin one turn each way per loop. Stones, ash, embers, wood and climate dressing are static. Because the export was taken after a seek, the static node pose in the GLB is the t = 2 s frame. Only 9 of the 12 kit colours are used: hide tan, ochre dark and dark wood had no role on this part. The flame and ember materials (ochre, ochre light, warm white) have a mild emissive set to their own colour; the snow caps use a non-emissive warm white. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. climateIceOrForest: toward 0, snow caps settle on up to 7 of the back ring stones; toward 1, moss tufts sit in the gaps outside the ring. The default 0.5 shows a few of each. flameHeight scales the flame crown. flicker only scales the motion amplitude, and 0 gives still flames. stoneCount (8–14) re-divides the same ring, so the stones get narrower as the count rises. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, including 'detached' flame parts: each flame is its own pivoted part rooted inside the ash mound, so it has no sibling to touch. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated. Viewer-only staging (ground, sun rig, exposure 0.62) is not in the GLB.
About the Fire flicker 3D model
Fire flicker is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Stone Age Camp set. It measures 1.2 m × 67 cm × 1.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,816 triangles across 16 meshes, with 12 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 191 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Fire flicker 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 191 KB: 1,816 triangles, 5,448 vertices and 16 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 67 cm × 1.1 m.
- Is Fire flicker animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Fire flicker 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
