Solar leaves
A low-poly street solar tree: a slender white column rising from a terracotta planter, carrying leaf-shaped solar panels with blue cells, white frames and black veins in a rising spiral, with a vine climbing the column.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Solar leaves for the Solarpunk Garden City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Solarpunk Garden City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A green city of glass and vines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: leaf green #3a883a, white #f4f1ec, terracotta #be5937, sky blue #2e67b8, leaf green dark #235223, white dark #d7cebc, leaf green light #5db15d, white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `plantCoverage` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Plant coverage" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 3.66 m tall to the top leaf (column 3.4 m), canopy about 2.7 × 2.2 m, planter 1.1 m across and 0.5 m high. Origin at the planter's bottom centre on y = 0; the front faces +Z. 1344 triangles, static, no animation clip. Every material is named after its kit palette colour, so you can recolour by name. The model uses 9 colours, but the exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat (13 materials in the file). The GLB is baked at the default params. plantCoverage (0–1) sets how far the vine climbs the column and how full the planter is: at 0 the column is bare and two shrubs are left. leafCount, height and leafTilt rebuild the model in the viewer only. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected: the material count from the per-mesh duplicates, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, overlapping bounding boxes for the nested frame/cell/vein and column/collar meshes, the branches flagged as 'detached' because they sit in a sibling group to the trunk they start inside, and the height being above the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check rejects the library's hyphenated part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen in the first segment. That is its only complaint; three-check and the GLB carry the ids correctly.
About the Solar leaves 3D model
Solar leaves is a free low-poly 3D model from the Solarpunk Garden City set. It measures 2.7 m × 3.7 m × 2.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,344 triangles across 13 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 107 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Solar leaves 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 107 KB: 1,344 triangles, 4,032 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 2.7 m × 3.7 m × 2.2 m.
- Can I animate Solar leaves?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Solar leaves 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
